Sunday 2nd December

We have a busy day in store with 18 runners at Fairyhouse for Day 2 of their Winter Festival.

We saddle two runners in the Baroneracing.com Juvenile Hurdle. CHIEF JUSTICE has ticked all the boxes since joining the yard. He was 2nd in a listed hurdle at Wetherby back at the beginning of November and looks to be one of the main contenders today, Davy Russell rides. COEUR SUBLIME is another promising juvenile in the yard. He has won both of his starts over hurdles well and should also play a big part in todays race, Bryan Cooper rides.

COMMANDER OF FLEET was an impressive winner on his hurdling debut at Punchestown in mid November, the former Land Rover bumper winner looks to be a promising future prospect and certainly looks like he’s capable of picking up first prize in the Baroneracing.com Royal Bond Novice Hurdle. We also run TINTANGLE who picked up the mares hurdle at Thurles on Thursday and she could be capable of running into the placings under Rachel Blackmore.

We have 3 runners in the Drinmore Novice Chase. DELTA WORK looks the pick of our trio after winning well on his chase debut at Down Royal last month, Davy Russell takes the ride. BLOW BY BLOW was unlucky to just get beaten on his last run. He drops back in trip slightly today and now wear a visor instead of blinkers, Jack Kennedy rides. Our third runner is CUBOMANIA. He’s had a successful chasing campaign this season and has picked up prize money in a couple of graded contests however today looks the toughest contest of his career. Keith Donoghue rides.

We run OUT SAM and ROGUE ANGEL in the Porterstown Handicap chase. Rogue Angel struggled at Navan last time out over a shorter trip but ran well to finish 2nd at Cork behind stable mate Out Sam at the beginning of the November, Liam McKenna rides and claims a useful 7lb. Out Sam has already secured himself a Cork National this season and ran well to finish 5th in the Troytown chase at Navan last Sunday, Davy Russell once again takes the ride. Both horses are in great form at home and should love the step up in trip.

APPLE’S JADE (pictured) is our biggest contender in the Hattons Grace Hurdle. She made it a winning start on her seasonal debut at Navan last month cruising home by 11 lengths and she certainly looks the one to beat, Jack Kennedy rides. We also run FARCLAS, DORTMUND PARK and SUTTON PLACE all of whom are capable of picking up prizemoney.

In the Baroneracing.com Handicap Hurdle we are represented by 3 runners. BRELADE is having his first run this season after finishing 5th in the Scottish Champion Hurdle back in April. He should enjoy the ground conditions and Jack Kennedy rides. STOOSHIE was 3rd in a Grade B contest at Down Royal at the beginning of November and he runs off a nice weight of 10st12 today, Denis O’Regan rides. TOMBSTONE could also run a big race in the hands of Jordan Williams who takes a useful 7lb off his back. He finished 3rd behind Sharjah at Punchestown and could surprise us here today.

Our last two runners of the day are in the Royalhousedraw.com (p/A) INH Flat Race. SOLDIER AT WAR was second on his racecourse debut at Punchestown and has really come on for the run. The softer ground should suit him and Lisa O’Neill takes the ride. ENVOI ALLEN makes his racecourse debut today. He was an impressive winner of his maiden point to point when coming home 10 lengths in front. We are looking forward to seeing him on the track today with Jamie Codd onboard.
