Wednesday 6th February

We send 5 runners across the water to Ayr today.

Both GALVIN and BRAID BLUE represent us in the Dream Weddings At Western House Hotel Novices Hurdle over 2 miles. Galvin (pictured) bids to keep up his winning streak. He won impressively at Navan the last day beating stablemate Whoshotthesheriff by 5 lengths and he certainly looks the one to beat today, Davy Russell takes the ride. Braid Blue drops back in trip after finishing 5th on his hurdling debut over 2m5f back in Galway in September. He’s fresh from a short break and we are hopeful of him finishing in the mix here under Henry Brooke.

In the Weatherbys General Stud Book Mares Handicap Hurdle we run PAT’S OSCAR. She took well to running over 3m3f last time out at Sedgefield and although she has been dropped back down to 2m3f today we are hopeful that she’ll finish in the placings. Davy Russell takes the ride.

VEINARD takes his chances in a small field of only 4 in the Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Chase. This is his first appearance in a handicap over fences and we’re hoping he jumps a clear round today after unseating at Gowran Park last time out. Davy Russell rides.

Our final runner of the day is ARION SKY in the mares bumper. She finished a promising 3rd on her racecourse debut in Ayr back in November and then finished 6th in a competitive bumper in Limerick next time out. She has shown improvement and should finish in he mix here today. Davy Russell rides.
