Today we send four runners down south to Cork:

In the opener, the Clubs Fundraiser Night Maiden Hurdle, we have INGENUITY. He makes a return to hurdling having found a nice bit of form on the flat. He is still yet to lose his maiden tag over obstacles and Davy Russell is on board to help get his through today’s task.

Skipping a race and on to the third, SMILING ELIZA runs in the Tote Backing Your Team Handicap Hurdle. She was a very consistent filly last year and was upped in the handicap and as a result has found life a bit difficult of late. She is a filly that tries and gives an honest run. She is still quite high in the weights here today but hopefully Davy Russell can help her put in a good round of jumping and get home safe.

On to the next race and SANTANA PLESSIS looks to extend his CV in the 3m Finbarr Quald Electrical Maiden Hurdle. He hit the crossbar on a couple of occasions when running in Bumpers earlier in the year. This race sees him upped in trip and is a first spin over jumps. Davy Russell rides and the pair should be well enough equipped to make a nice Hurdling debut.

Finally TOMBSTONE takes a drop in class from his last run to compete in the Gina & Champions After Racing Hurdle over 2m4f. This will be his first trip to the track which can hopefully help freshen him up . He faces some tough opponents and is top billing in the weights, Davy Russell takes the ride.
