Today is the second day of the Killarney festival for which we have 4 runners.

Our first runner is MONKEYLOU who goes in the International Hotel Handicap over an extended mile. He was 4th on his seasonal debut and his last win came over this trip. Monkeylou comes in at the top of the weights so we’ve employed the skills of Shane Crosse who will be taking 5lbs of his back.

Next up is CREADAN BELLE who is yet to win a race but came second in a bumper last year. She has her maiden voyage over jumps as she runs in the M.D. O’Shea’s Mares Maiden Hurdle. Hopefully this progression to jumping will see an improvement in her form. Mark Enright is booked to ride.

Our final two runners of the day come in the next race, The Laurels Handicap Hurdle over 2m6f. A TOI PHIL is back in trip today having had two big assignments earlier this year in the shape of the Grand National and the Irish Grand National. A switch back to hurdling should freshen him up a bit and Katie O’ Farrell who claims 5lbs off this top weight takes the ride. Our second runner in this race is BALL D’ARC, placed on his last two efforts in graded company, this run will tell us where we are with him. Stable lad Kevin Brogan will be onboard claiming 7lbs which will be a significant help in this very competitive race.

We wish all our runners the best of luck and for them to all come home safely.
