Today we have 4 runners across two tracks in both the UK and Ireland.
Firstly we head over to Ireland to the day meeting at Kilarney. CARRIE DES CHAMPS is a model of consistency having never finished outside of the money. However she faces a stiff challenge here with this small runner field with a few other tough ones aiming to get involved. She always tries her best and we’d be hopeful that she can keep up her good record along with her new dance partner Denis O’Regan.
Another mare in good order is our next runner SASSY YET CLASSY. She’ll be carrying almost top weight at 11st10, however in a bid to make life a bit easier for her we have stable lad Kevin Brogan on board who will claim 4lbs off her back. The Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle will be her first time in handicap company and it doesn’t look like it will be the most straightforward but we’re hopeful of a good run.
Our final runner at Killarney is WINGS OF DESTINY, who made a pleasing racecourse debut last time out at Bellewstown when 3rd. Lisa O’Neill will be back on board in an attempt to improve of that performance.
Finally we fly over to Ffos Las for the very last race of the day. BRAID BLUE runs in the Caribbean Night at Chepstow Racecourse 26th July Novices’ Hurdle, where he faces only two other challengers. He has been in good form of late but is giving a lot of weight away to Sunset Showdown who looks the most dangerous of the remaining pair. Dicky Johnson rides and hopefully he can get every ounce out of the horse and come home triumphant.
Best of luck to all our runners and riders and we hope they all come home safe.
