It was great to get our foot in the door early at Galway yesterday with Lethal Steps winning the first and Soldiers Hill coming a very valiant 3rd in the bumper. Hopefully today can bring some more success. We have 5 runners today across Galway and Perth.
First we’ll head to Perth where we have 2 runners. KASHMIR WILDE runs in the Follow @Racingtv on Twitter Maiden Hurdle. She’s been in and about things on her last few runs without ever coming home the victor. A change of scenery might give her the boost she needs. Dicky Johnson takes the ride.
Our other runner of the evening at Perth is our Racing Club horse, PAT’S OSCAR in the Meetings Perthshire for Business Tourism Handicap Hurdle. She likes it around Perth, having won there back in 2017. She has a decent chance, and Dicky Johnson will be riding.
Back over to Ballybrit and we will try to emulate our opening race success of the day previous. ROAD TO DUBAI runs in the Colm Quinn BMW Novices Hurdle. It’s a small but highly competitive field. Road to Dubai has been a model of consistency since joining us and has been upped in class. Keith Donoghue will take the ride.
Our final runners for the day at Galway are in the Latin Quarter Beginners Steeple Chase over an extended 2m 2f. WESTERN HONOUR will don the already successful Cheveley Park colours. He hasn’t been too far away from the business end of things of late and Davy Russell takes the ride. Our other Racing Club horse SMILING ELIZA will also take her chances in this race. She is extremely tough and put her heart on the line last time out winning under top weight. Today will be her first time over chase fences and knowing her she’ll try her very best. Andrew Ring will take the ride.
We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and a safe trip around for all of them.
