Today we have 7 runners across two racecourses. We will be raiding Perth with 6 runners on their 7 race card and 1 down in Listowel.

Our runner in Listowel is maiden SOME NIGHTMARE in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden over 6.5f. The distance seemed too far last time as he didn’t last home. Today he will be tried over shorter in an attempt to seek some improvement. Chris Hayes will be taking the ride.

Our first actual runner of the day is CARRIE DES CHAMPS in the first race at Perth in the Murrayfield Golf Club Supports Sands Lothians Novices’ Hurdle. It was turned out to be a very weak race where only three have decided to declare. We think she will be well placed here and looks a very open oportunity to take the spoils.

Our next runner at Perth is HOLY MOTIVATION in the third race; the ROA Owners Jackpot Handicap Hurdle. He hasn’t quite managed to get his head in front on a number of occasions but has come closest here over course and distance. We hope he has it in him to continue and go a bit better again.

Perth lover and hattrick seeker CREADAN GRAE runs in the ROA: A Voice For Racehorse Owners Handicap Chase. He looks another well placed one but there looks to be a good competitor in the field. It won’t be as straight forward as before having shot up the weights, but he’s been in good form at home and we hope he can translate that to the track.

Our club horse VISCOUNT WILSON runs in the 5th race; the TGO Creative Design, Print And Web Handicap Hurdle. She is still looking to break her maiden but this may not be that race. She has it to do at the weights but we hope she runs well enough to feature.

Our penultimate runner is GRAINEYHILL in the ROA Rewards Members Handicap Chase. He hasn’t been in the best form but we’ve switched him back to blinkers in an attempt to regain some good form.

Last but not least, our final runner of the evening is APPROVE THE MOVE in the Benefits For ROA Members At roa.co.uk Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race. Ran ok on debut, we hope he can come on for the experience however and improve a few positions.

Richard Johnson has a very busy day ahead of him as he will be riding all our Perth runners today. We wish him and Chris a successful day and for all our horses to return home safe.
