It was great to get two winners on the board yesterday at Punchestown and we continue there again today.

Our first runner of the day is THE VERY MAN  in the Bangor-on-Dee Annual Members Maiden Hurdle. He was a winner of a point to point so jumping should be no problem. It looks a hot race as people are bringing out their winter horses but we hope Jack Kennedy and The Very Man can put in a clean run.

We skip a couple of races before our next runner, SWORDSMAN, who goes in the Grade 3 Ladbrokes Acca Buck House Novices Steeple Chase. It was great to get a win into him first time out this season and against a nice horse. He won’t have things his own way here and faces a small but tough field. Jack Kennedy will be taking the ride.

Another Grade 3 follows, the Irish Daily Star Chase, where we have ALPHA DES OBEAUX and DOUNIKOS. Alpha is thrown into the deep end, kicking his season off in graded company. We know he is a tough horse and up to the job at hand. Jack Kennedy will be taking the ride. Dounikos did very well over the summer holiday and loves it around here. It’s a big task but we hope he and Luke Dempsey get a good spin.

Finally to round things off we have FANTASIO D’ALENE in the Ladbrokes The Nation Plays INH Flat Race. A nice horse who will be having his first start for us. He was 3rd in a big bumper last season and has probably matured a lot since that run. Lisa O’Neill has been booked to take the ride.

We wish all our horses and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.
