We managed to get another winner on the board yesterday and Alpha Des Obeaux ran his heart out to finish a very narrow 2nd in the Grade 3. We also learnt that Jack Kennedy fractured his collar bone after his fall from Swordsman so will be out for a few weeks.

We have another 3 runners today down in Tramore, with our first runner being in the third race. HEREDITARY RULE runs in the Tramore Racecourse Annual Members Maiden hurdle which will be a step up in trip. This horse should enjoy the extended distance having won a point to point in the UK over 3m. Luke Dempsey has been booked to ride.

We have a long break before our next runners towards the end of the card. PISTOL SHOOT runs in the Waterford Greenway Beginners Chase. He was 2nd over 3m at Perth last time out on very heavy ground. The slightly better ground should herald what is needed to get him in the frame once again. Keith Donoghue will be riding.

Finally, our last runner of the afternoon is THE ROCKING CHAIR in the Copper Coast Ladies Pro/Am INH Flat Race. This horse, who is named after Gordon’s first winner as a jockey ran a very good race last time to come 4th with Lisa O’Neill onboard. The pair are reunited here again and look to build on their result last time out.

We wish all our horses and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.
