We didn’t have any luck yesterday at Thurles but am happy to report everyone came home ok and we live to fight another day. It was great to have the media in yesterday for the opening of the November Festivals at Navan and Fairyhouse. Today we have one runner in Dundalk and one first reserve.

Our definite runner of the day is BEAN CHLONARD in the opener, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden over 7f. It’s great to get this filly out as there isn’t a huge amount of 7f maidens in the last months of the year, combined with large entries and getting balloted out. Sadly however, she will have a tough task by starting on the wide outside. This will be a fact finding mission as more things are stacked against her then for her. Gary Carroll has been given the leg up.

Bean’s sister Clonard Abbey is currently first reserve in the last race, the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap. If she gets to run she will be very low in the weights. It would be nice to get another runner but places are hotly contested and it’s unlikely anyone will give up theirs.

We wish the pair the very best of luck and for a safe return.
