Today marks the start of a busy weekend as we hope to send off 27 horses across Saturday and Sunday to the races. Today’s target is Naas where we have 10 going to post.

The first race of the afternoon is the Irish Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle over 2m where we have two runners. This looks like it is going to be the full field of 25 runners so there will be plenty of cover available but also plenty of potential problems to run into. THE VERY MAN was a faller when he looked the winner last time out. Hopefully he can complete his mission in the same style today. Keith Donoghue will be riding. Our second runner in this is SAINT OR SINNER, who was a winner first time out but has found things a bit difficult since. Jack Wildman will be taking the ride.

A nice winner last time out under Kevin Brogan SURIN runs in the Grade 3 Fishery Lane Hurdle. Keith Donoghue will be on board this time. Hopefully the pair can continue the winning streak.

DUCA DE THAIX goes in the next, a Grade 3 Chase over 2m. This is a very small field with only 5 runners. Rachel Blackmore will be on board for this horse’s seasonal appearance. Rachel can do no wrong at them moment having had some great sits and good wins over the past few weeks.

It’s not a long wait as we send another out to the track, CAMPEADOR, runs in the Grade B Handicap Hurdle. Unfortunately he will be carrying top weight and is giving 10lbs to his closest rival. Keith Donoghue will be riding.

We skip a race and move straight on to the sixth, the Cavan Developments Supp St Marys Maiden Hurdle, where Keith and COLUMN OF FIRE will do battle. This looks a nice race for him as he has run over hurdles once before last season.

Moving on to the next race where CRACKING SMART runs. He was 2nd on his seasonal reappearance which we were very happy with. He will have come on for the run and we’d hope for something similar. Keith Donoghue will be getting the leg up.

We have a few for the last race, the ISF EBF Mares Pro/Am INH Flat Race. There are a whopping 22 runners in this race where we have 3. ANNIEGUIRE was a close 2nd in her point to point on her only start so far, so comes to this with a bit of track experience. Jamie Codd will be riding. In the Gigginstown corner we have BETH HORAN, who was a very promising 3rd on her first start under rules. Lisa O’Neill has kept the ride on this filly. Lastly for Mrs Connell we have DAPHNE MOON, a very sweet filly who has done everything right at home. This will be her first time on a racecourse and fingers crossed it all goes swimmingly. Paddy Vaughan will be riding.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.
