The Christmas festival keeps on giving and we have another very busy day at Leopardstown and Limerick with 17 runners.

We have quite a few less runners in the first at Leopardstown today as we have just the one in the opener. THE BOSSES OSCAR found only Blue Sari too good last time and was beaten by only half a length. He seems to have a bit of talent and we’d be hopeful he improves from that run. Davy Russell has been booked to ride.

We ramp things up for the next one, The Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle. This is an important qualifier for the final in Cheltenham in March and the only one in Ireland. SIRE DU BERLAIS is top of the weights and was the winner of the final last season and will be partnered by Barry Geraghty. Next is THE STORYTELLER another past Cheltenham winner and winner last time out. That has put him in good form for this and Davy Russell will take the ride. Finally is NOBEL ENDEAVOR who will have a nice weight in this one and Jack Kennedy doing the steering.

The next one is a chase, where CARTWRIGHT will have another crack at it. He didn’t enjoy the track at Naas so he gets a change of scenery and some cheek pieces. Jack Kennedy will ride.

It’s time for a Grade 1 and the Queen of the yard APPLE’S JADE take up her spot. There are some real super stars in this division this year and Apple’s has run two very good races having run on last time. She owes us nothing, Jack Kennedy will take the ride.

MIRACLE IN MEDINAH is up next in the Handicap Hurdle and is right up there at the top of the weights and will be ridden by Barry Geraghty. Joining him is CHERIF DE L’ISLE and Davy Russell who will have a much more manageable 11st 4lbs to contend with.

Another Grade 1 comes after and it looks one of the most exciting of the Christmas period. DELTA WORK goes forward for the Savills Chase where he will face horses such as Kemboy and Road to Respect. We knew he needed the run last time out and comes here in good form. It’s a very hot race and we’ve put Jack Kennedy in charge.

Lastly we have the bumper, which we have two representatives. FAKIERA probably needed that first run and was beaten by what has turned out to be a very smart horse. Jamie Codd has been booked to ride. Secondly we have FIDJI EMERY who was a very handsome store horse and his a half brother to the very exciting Cilaos Emery. Paddy Vaughan has been booked to ride.

Moving on to Limerick we have a further 6 runners starting off with ENNEMI PUBLIC in the first. This horse was much improved last time to finish 3rd and we would hope he can build on that here. Eoin O’Connell has been booked to ride.

Next up is PART TIME AFFAIR in the Auction Maiden Hurdle and he will be partnered by Jody McGarvey. This horse should improve for a switch to hurdles and we hope he can run a nice race.

We skip a few races to then have two runners in the Handicap Chase. GLENLOE was a distant 3rd last time out and will have to pick things up in this to feature. Jody McGarvey will take the ride. WOODS WELL is only 1lb better off at the weights and a similar story, Eoin O’Connell will ride.

For the Novice Chase we have one runner in the 6 runner field. THREE IS COMPANY travelled like a peach last time to win by 7 lengths at Tramore. The Blinkers are back on and Jody McGarvey has been booked to ride.

Lastly we have TORYGRAPH and Lisa O’Neill in the bumper. This horse came 2nd last time out to a horse that looks really smart. Hopefully this will be the right contest to get a win into him.

Best of luck to all our runners and riders and fingers crossed for a safe return.
