In a mammoth effort we continue with a large cohort of runners. We have 12 potential runners at Leopardstown and 4 more at Limerick.

Firstly to Leopardstown, it was great to pick up someGrade 1 glory on Friday as it takes the stress off a bit. However, like yesterday we’re right back at it at the highest grade. Our first runner at Leopardstown today is FINAL LIST who has been running with merit recently and deserves to go well here again. Kevin Brogan will get the ride and take 4lbs off. Kevin has been doing very well with the rides we’ve given him lately and we hope he can continue that trend.

BIKO is our next runner in a maiden hurdle. This horse didn’t have much joy in bumpers and looks better suited to hurdles. There are some very good horses in this field and these maiden hurdles can sometimes come down to whoever was the luckiest in running. Davy Russell will be riding.

It’s the first of the Graded races next, the Grade 3 Mares Hurdle. We have two mares for this race, BARRA and BLACK TEARS. Barra has a huge amount of class and we were happy with her last run to come 4th after a few very unlucky races. Mark Enright has been booked to ride. Black Tears knows what a few of her competitors look like and looks to change the order with Stormy Island. Davy Russell will ride.

Next we have our first Grade 1, the Novice Chase. BATTLEOVERDOYEN has shown us he could be something special over a hurdle and now we need to find out if he can do the same over fences. As always, this will be hotly contended, Davy Russell will ride. CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC is our second contender, he has been quietly been going up the ranks and comes here with a good chance.. Robbie Power will ride.

The action doesn’t stop as another Grade 1 and the feature race of the day follows suit. COEUR SUBLIME put his name in the hat for classy hurdlers this season after his Down Royal romp. He deserves to step up in class and if he runs like he did last time he stands a reasonable chance. APPLE’S JADE has also been declared in this and will be ridden by Mark Walsh.

Our biggest representation comes in the Novice Handicap Hurdle, where we have 3 runners. DEFINITE PLAN is a horse that has gone from strength to strength since joining us. After his win he has placed in better company and has been burden with top weight here. Davy Russell has been booked to ride. THUNDER DOWN UNDER and GUN MERCHANT feature much lower in the weights and this might give them a slight advantage over their stable mate. Mark Enright will be on Thunder Down Under and Denis O’Regan will be on Gun Merchant.

Our final runner at Leopardstown is WIDE RECEIVER who went part of the way to proving his price tag. He has been upped in class to this winners bumper which looks a very hot test. Paddy Vaughan has been booked to ride as he will take a valuable 7lbs off his back.

We move over to Limerick where we have EMPIRE BURLEQUE in the Novice Hurdle. He has come 4th on both his most recent starts and we hope he can do a bit better here. JAck Kennedy has been booked to ride all our horses at Limerick today.

EDENE D’ARC will face only 5 other rivals in the Mares Beginners Chase. She looked to be running a nice race last time when she fell two from home. She takes another stab at things and Cut The Mustard might show up to be the biggest horse in the race.

SURIN is our next runner, in the feature Grade 3 Hurdle. She was a runaway winner of a similar contest last time out and now faces the boys. We hope she can continue her upward trajectory.

Lastly we have ZAMBEZI FIX in the Maiden Hurdle.. This is a big enough field for this horse but he should that that wasn’t an issue last time. There was real improvement in his run last time and we hope the pin has dropped with him.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.
