We’ve made it to the magical month of March and we were lucky enough to have a good start with two winners yesterday at Leopardstown. Larquebuse likes to do things her own way and when she wins she usually does it in a very taking fashion. It was great to have the gentleman that is Gun Digger win the big race. He hasn’t won since 2018 but is a favourite on the yard for his kind temperament. We have 5 runners for today’s meeting at Leopardstown along with galloping a number of our Cheltenham horses after racing.

Our first runner of the afternoon doesn’t come until the third race where CHERIF DE L’ISLE is joint top weight and will be stepping up to 3 miles for the first time for us. He’s been very consistent coming 3rd on all his starts for us so far so we hope the step up can see some improvement, Davy Russell will ride.

We switch to fences for the next race where we have DORTMUND PARK. This horse has a lot of things in his favour here and might get rid of his beginner tag in this race. He’s a nice horse and deserves a good run, Davy Russell will ride.

EMPIRE BURLEQUE is going for the next beginners chase over slightly less distance, 2m5f. There will be a few more to get around here especially on his debut over the bigger jumps. This will be another one to be ridden by Davy Russell.

Finally we have two runners in the bumper. This looks like a very hot race but we think FELINO DE BERSY has a chance to feature in the frame on his first run on the track, Jamie Codd will be in the saddle. FOURNEUX D’ISANKA has had two runs around the point to point track and finished third on debut. This will be a stiff enough task today and Lisa O’Neill will be in the saddle.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.
