We’ve made it to another weekend! Today’s racing doesn’t have a jump in sight as both Irish meetings are on the flat today and we have a fistful of runners for both.

Our first runner is CATHERINE CHROI in the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden over 5 1/2 furlongs. This filly showed bags of improvement to come 5th the last time and showed us more of what we expected. This race looks like it has ended up very competitive with Allagar not finished too far behind the winner in Listed company last time out. We’ve chosen to claim off her with Mikey Sheehy claiming 7lbs, hopefully thyis will go a long way in helping her out in this field.

CRACKAWAY still sits as third reserve as we await the call. He was another one that ran well last time to finish 4th and we would be hopeful of a repeat of that performance here. Declan McDonogh is provisionally booked.

There is a long break in the day before our final pair of runners, as we wait till 7.10pm for the Racing Again 17th August Ladies Handicap over 1m4f. SHARP FOCUS looks ideal for this event having won over 1m and finishing close up in some messy finishes. This will be his first start for the yard and takes a step up in trip with top lady rider Lisa O’Neill in the saddle. TAKE A TURN comes into this with a good chance of getting into the frame. He didn’t last the trip last time, this should be right up his street, Alice Stevens takes the ride and takes off 7lbs.
