Today we head to Kilbeggan with 8 runners for a busy 7 race card. The ground looks like it should be good summer ground and hopefully the rain will stay away.

CURLEW HILL broke his maiden when capturing a bumper in Downpatrick on his most recent start. Graduation to maiden hurdles is the natural progession and he will be carrying a penalty for his latest triumph. There are plenty more exposed types hopefully pointing towards a softer contest, Jamie Codd has been booked to ride as he gets on very well with this horse.

Aline can be put through MENGLI KHAN’s last outing in Galway and Luke Dempsey has been rebooked. The pair will be looking to repeat their success from two starts ago. This won’t be a straight forward task but the switch back to hurdles should be a big help.

Twice the bridesmaid, SANTANA PLESSIS attempts to get one over the crossbar having been runner up on his last two starts. We’ve decided to claim off him with Sean O’Keeffe taking of 5lbs to help push him past the post in first.

We double up for the 5th race with AFOREMENTIONED and MINELLAFORDOLLARS in the beginners chase. Aforementioned stayed on to get 4th in a Grade 3 in Galway latest and a drop in class should be a big benefit, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride. MINELLAFORDOLLARS is having his first start in just under a year and will be one to come on for the race, Jody McGarvey has been booked to ride.

CECIL CORBETT and FINAL LIST double up in the handicap chase, the penultimate race of the evening. Cecil Corbett has a good record around here and usually goes well fresh. He will be defying his age as he is in great spirits at home and has Keith up. Final List is another we will be claiming off this afternoon as Sean O’Keeffe will be wearing the Gigginstown silks, lowering his weight even further.

Finally we have a very nice horse in the bumper, I A CONNECT. 3rd on his sole start to date, this horse will have improved for time and we look forward to seeing Jamie Codd partner this one.
