It was great to add another 2 winners to our tally over the weekend.

Today we head back down to Listowel for day 2 of their Harvest Festival.

Our first runner of the day is FELICIDAD in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle. This is her first start for us having recently joined the team from Nick Williams over in the UK. Whilst Erins Benefit certainly looks the one to beat we hope that we can see some improvement from our mare as we step her up in trip to 2m4f. Jack Kennedy takes the ride.

ELUSIVE GIGOLO takes his chances for the first time over hurdles in the Connolly’s Red Mills EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle. Having finished 4th on both his bumper starts we’re hoping to improve on the placings today. Jack Kennedy rides.

In the Liam Healy Memorial Lartigue Handicap Hurdle we run SAINT D’OROUX. Having finished 3rd in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham back in March, he hasn’t shown the best of his ability yet this season. We’re hoping he can bounce back to form today under Jack Kennedy.

Having not been seen on the track since July 2019, SOLDIER AT WAR makes his return today in the John F McGuire Beginners Chase. He has some useful hurdling form under his belt and was 2nd in a point to point behind Malone Road as a 4yo. He’ll come on for the run today, Jack Kennedy rides.

THE ABBEY (picutred) made a good start to his chasing career at Downpatrick when making all to just get beat inside the final furlong. The pair had drawn well clear of the rest of the field that day and the third horse has since won by 14 lengths at Tramore. We’re hoping he can strike today in the Listowel Beginners Chase and Keith Donoghue takes the ride.

Our last runners of the day are in the Kerry Petroleum INH Flat Race. Both CHEMICAL ENERGY and DARK SPARK make their racecourse debuts in the 15 runner field and both stand good chances.
