We’ll be plenty busy today as we have the same number of runners on the flat as we do over jumps across the Curragh and Listowel.

Firstly we head to the Curragh for the flat where we will hopefully have 5 runners. COLIGINI looks made for this type of race, being a son of the Irish 2000 Guineas winner Awtaad. This horse has already had the benefit of running in a barrier trial and should be ready for this run. CAPTAIN MIDDLETON currently sits as first reserve in the Irish EBF Median sires series over 8f. This colt has been stepped up in trip from 6f as he looked to be staying on in heavy going at Cork on the last day.

CATHERINE CHROI improved a huge amount between runs and showed us a bit more of what we were hoping from her. She goes in the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Race over 6f. It could cut up into an open contest with many smaller trainers represented. Wayne Lordan has been booked to ride.

Finally for the Curragh we have a pair more used to jumping in the Tipperary Crystal Ladies Trophy Handicap over 1m4f. RECENT REVELATIONS makes the switch back to the flat having had good juvenile form over the level. Eliece Elliott will be having her first start on the track and we wish her the very best of luck. Our second runner in this is also first reserve, COMMENTARIOLUS who is very lightly raced was bred for the flat being a son of Frankel. However he found his first victory over hurdles and shouldn’t have any issue with today’s task.

Moving back to the jumps we have GEVREY in the opener at Listowel, the John Lynch Memorial Maiden Hurdle over 2m. This will be Gevrey’s first run over jumps having run twice in bumpers. We will be hoping to see a bit of improvement for the switch and Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

SAINT D’OROUX goes forward for the Allman Contracts Novice Hurdle over 2m4f. This has cut up into only a 7 runner race with plenty of inform horses turning out. We think he can improve on his Galway form and could be quite competitive here. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Finally we have a long wait of 5 races before the bumper where our final two runners do battle. MARS HARPER was a very impressive winner on his only race course appearance and his partnership with 7lbs claimer Hugh McOwan has been renewed. WESEEKHIMHERE was also last seen winning impressively by 11 lengths having not had a clear run first time out, Jamie Codd has been booked to ride. It will be exciting to see these two horses go up against each other.
