It seems to be another day of reserves for us as we head up to Down Royal for their rescheduled Stephens Day meeting.

We open proceedings with GLENS FINALE as the top billing in the 2m4f Maiden Hurdle. He is giving weight away to the whole field so will have it all to do but he comes here in good form and will have the aid of Jack Kennedy.

CALAGOGO sits as third reserve in the Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle. This horse has been improving with each run and this would be a nice race to get him into so he can have his chance.

Skipping on we go straight to the fourth race, the Armstrong Memorial Irish Beginners Chase over 2m4f. AXIOMATIC takes his third start over fences after two unplaced efforts, this looks more open than his previous two starts and he will have Keith Donoghue in the saddle. Ardhill takes his first stint over fences if he gets in, he currently sits as second reserve.

It’s a big break or even potentially the end of our day at Down Royal as we wait for PREVARICATE in the bumper. This horse was a nice winner of a point to point so we have no doubt about his potential talents. We’ll have to await a call however to see if he gets in
