Sunday 6th October

We have a quieter day today with just 3 runners in Tipperary.

SONG OF NAMIBIA takes his chance in the Fitzgerald’s Woodlands Hotel Handicap Hurdle. He was disappointing to finish last at Navan last time out and we’d hope to see a better performance from him today as he’s carries one of the lowest weights in the field 11. Jack Kennedy rides.

In the Like-A-Butterfly Novice Chase CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC drops back in trip to 2m4f. We only saw him on the track twice last season when he finished 3rd in a Grade 3 chase and 2nd in a Grade 2 and if he can bring that form to the table today he’ll be up there at the business end. Jack Kennedy rides.

Our last runner of the day is ESCARIA TEN in there Peppermill Nenagh (C&G) (P/A) Flat Race. He was a comfortable winner on his only point to point start at Borris back in March and we hope his can continue his winning ways. Jamie Codd rides.

Saturday 5th October

We head in to our second day at Gowran Park with 10 declared runners.

In the first race, the Jack Duggan Memorial 3-Y-O Hurdle, we saddle NOBEL JOSHUA. Fit after running on the flat all summer he makes his hurdling debut today under Jack Kennedy. RECENT REVELATIONS is currently 2nd reserve in this race.

We send two down to post in the Golf Memberships At Gowran Park Maiden Hurdle Both HELL ON EARTH and RUN WILD FRED are making their debut over flights today. Based on their bumper form, Run Wild Fred looks to have the upper hand of our two runners.

We also saddle two runners in the Grade B Kilkenny Racing Festival Handicap Hurdle. MONKSHOOD hasn’t been victorious since November 2017 and today might be a tough ask as well. Liam McKenna has been booked to ride and claims a useful 7lb. ELWOOD is yet to break his duck over hurdles. He finished 2nd on his last appearance and hopefully he can bring the same kind of form to the table today. Jack Kennedy rides.

In the feature race, the PWC Champion Chase (Grade 2), we have 3 representatives. THE STORYTELLER carries top weight under Davy Russell. Last seen finishing 3rd at the Punchestown Festival behind Kemboy, he is a consistent runner in theses graded chases and is fresh back after his summer break. Last years American Grand National winner JURY DUTY (pictured) also makes the line up under Mark Walsh. He finished 2nd in this race just 12 months ago under a higher weight and isn’t one to rule out. Finally, SHATTERED LOVE completes our runners. She was a smart novice chaser and finished 2nd in the Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Chase last year behind Min. She’s a game honest mare and has the benefit of bottom weight in todays contest. Jack Kennedy rides.

GRAINEYHILL runs in the Paulstown Handicap Chase. He finished 2nd last time out at Perth and could benefit from the step up in trip to 3m1f today. Davy Russell rides.

Our last runner of the day comes in the shape of DALLAS DES PICTONS. He takes on 7 others in the Join Gowran Racing Club Beginners Chase. His best hurdling form has been over a slightly further trip but this could be an ideal start to his chasing career. Jack Kennedy rides.

Friday 4th October

We head down to Gowran Park for Day 1 of their 2 day meeting.

Our first runner of the day is ABACADABRAS in the Join Racing TV Now Maiden Hurdle. The son of Davidoff showed plenty of promise in his bumpers last season when winning on his racecourse debut and finishing 4th in the Champion bumper at the Cheltenham Festival behind stablemate Envoi Allen. We’re hopeful of a successful start for him over flights today with Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

We send SURIN down to post in the feature race – Pat Walsh Memorial Irish EBF (Mares) Hurdle. She was a smart juvenile last season, having been placed in all 3 of her starts and her last run saw her finish 3rd in a Grade 1 behind Sir Erec. We’re hoping to see her finish in the frame on her seasonal reappearance. Jack Kennedy rides.

New recruit, TIGER TWENTY TWO, certainly didn’t disgrace himself on his yard debut where he finished 4th in a 2m6f contest at Navan. We’ve dropped him back slightly in trip today and are looking for another solid effort from him. Jack Kennedy takes to the saddle.

Finally, we saddle two runners in the ISF EBF Mucklemeg (Mares) INH Flat Race. Punchestown festival winner ARD ABHAINN (pictured) returns to action after her summer break. She’s in great form at home and should go close today under Lisa O’Neill. BIGBADANDBEAUTIFUL also has strong claims and it could be close between our two runners. Jamie Codd rides.

Thursday 3rd October

Six of our runners make their way to Clonmel today in search of winners. We begin with GUN MERCHANT in the first, a bumper winner on his last start, he returns after a break. His experience in the point to point field will stand to his jumping today and we hope he can provide his syndicate with another good day out, Davy Russell rides. FIGHT FOR LOVE also lines up in the same race, he is a new recruit to the yard from England, he seems to be going well at home and fingers crossed he can make his Irish debut an encouraging one. Jack Kennedy rides.

SAINT OR SINNER lines up against her own sex in the Mares Maiden Hurdle. She was disappointing on her jumps debut but is in great form at the moment, she carries a winners penalty but has Jack Wildman on board claiming 7lbs off her back.

MAKE MY HEART FLY runs in the “Captain Christy Rated Novice Steeplechase”. She took a crashing fall on her last outing in Sligo but has come out of that none the worst for wear. She has been schooling well at home so hopefully with a clear round she wont be far away. Jack Kennedy rides.

We have two lining up in the closing bumper. LADY OF ELYSIUM ran a credible second on her latest outing after returning from a break. She gets a mares allowance here and has Jamie Codd is back on board. THE ROCKING CHAIR is also in the line up, he makes his racecourse debut and in a small field hopefully he can make his presence known, Lisa O’Neill rides.

Tuesday 1st of October

It’s looking like a quiet week of racing for us and we send three horses across to the UK for meetings in Sedgfield and Ayr.

First to our Sedgfield runner, DANNY ARCHER, who runs in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race. It looks an open contest with the main rival looking like Dalkingstown. We hope this is slightly softer then the bumpers back home and that Danny can get into the placings. He will be in the capable hands of Richard Johnson for this evening.

Next over to Ayr, where NAVIGATE BY STARS runs in the Winter Weddings At Western House Hotel Handicap. She looked like she needed further last time out so we have stepped her up in trip. In addition she has snook in at the bottom of the weights and we have also booked Sean Davis, to claim off 3lbs. We hope she can get her head in the frame.

Lastly, HOUSE CALL looks to make it two in a row over in the UK. She runs in the Your Christmas Break At Western House Hotel Handicap. She was given a 3lbs penalty for her last win which we have offset by booking 3lbs claimer Sean Davis to ride. With this in mind we hope she can go well again.

Monday the 30th of September.

It was a busy weekend where we broke 70 winners for the season and Tiger Roll took home Performance of the Year at the McCoy Awards.

Back to reality and we have 4 runners over in Roscommon.

We hit things off with HEREDITARY RULE  in the first race. A winning pointer in the UK from a good yard and now trying his hand under rules for us. Jumping shouldn’t be an issue and its a big field which he should get plenty of cover. We hope he can make a good debut for connections and kick things off for the week. Davy Russell will be taking the ride.

It’s a long wait till our next runner, as we have 2 in the seventh race, the Castlerea Beginners chase. FLAWLESS ESCAPE looked a classy horse last season but jumping proved to be a slight issue. He’s had a long holiday and we hope that has freshened him up. Davy Russell will be taking the ride. Our other contender is SWORDSMAN who looked good over hurdles last season and is tried over bigger obstacles here. Jack Kennedy will take the ride.

Finally, PART TIME AFFAIR runs in the last, the Thanks For Supporting Roscommon Racecourse INH Flat Race. Debut for the yard was in a much tougher contest last time out, which may have overwhelmed him. This seems a much more open affair and hopefully he has taken on board everything from his first experience. Jamie Codd will be doing the driving.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Sunday the 29th of September

After all our runners yesterday we have just one today at the Curragh.

SOME NIGHTMARE runs in the Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital Irish EBF Maiden. This looks a very hot race and this horse might have a bit more joy in handicaps. However, he has improved with each run and we hope he continues to do this. Chris Hayes has been booked to ride.

We wish the horse and rider the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Saturday 28th of September

The jumps are back in full swing and we have 15 runners going to Navan and another 3 at the Curragh.

Starting with the Bar One Racing App Maiden Hurdle, SOLDIERS HILL who won his bumper last time out impressively makes his first appearance over obstacles. He’s been working well at home and we would be hopefully he can keep on the upward trajectory as his career progresses. Davy Russel will take the ride

We have two runners in the next race, the Meath Farm Machinery Handicap Hurdle. SONG OF NAMIBIA is back from a short break which has hopefully freshened him up a bit. A good horse on his day, the weights might be a bit high for him here. BALLYDUNBLAZE was flying earlier in the season before a fall got in her way. Another one that is back of a bit of a break and should come on for the run in both confidence and fitness. Jack Kennedy rides.

Onto the next race, the Dun A Ri Blinds Handicap Hurdle for which we have three horses. THE ABBEY looks like a horse that needs further rather than shorter as we found out last time. He will be at the top of the weights here and we have booked Davy Russell to ride. SPORTY YANKEE is making his debut for the yard here and we’ve booked Jack Kennedy to ride. This horse has plenty of racecourse experience and hopefully this can be harnessed. Finally, TIGER TWENTY TWO is another making his debut for the yard. By the same sire as Tiger Roll himself, this Tiger was placed 2nd last time and has been doing well at home. Denis O’Regan will take the ride.

For the 4th race we have another two runners led by LETHAL STEPS who was a little disappointing last time out in Listowel. Davy Russell has been booked. BLACK TEARS will also be running after a little break. She will need the run so we hope she gets around safely and that Jack Kennedy gets her back into the swing of things.

CATS FOR CASH is joined by two others in the Emerald Facility Services Beginners Steeple Chase. He made a few mistakes on his chasing debut which we hope he has learned from. Davy Russell has been booked to ride. KUIPER BELT is another one back from a small break and will be fitted with Cheek Pieces and is partnered by Denis O’Regan. Lastly is TIMIYAN like a few others, will be making a return after a short break. Mark Walsh will be in the saddle.

There’s no letting up as we have another three declared for the penultimate race, the Baroneracing.com Handicap Steeple Chase. NAMBOUR will be running for the first time in 3 years and will also be making his debut for the yard. It’s a very long lay off and we will be watching to see what sort of horse we have on our hands. MRS LOVETT has not been as consistent recently and we send her here in the hope of getting a good run out of her. Daryl Jacob will be flying over to ride. Lastly is THE BIG LENSE who won a nice pot last time out for which Luke Dempsey has been rewarded by getting the ride again.

Finally in the Navan Racecourse INH Flat Race GOLDEN NOMAD makes his debut under rules. He won a handle full of point to points and we hope this gives him the experience he needs to do well in this. Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.

A switch to the flat sees pocket rocket BECKFORD declared for the AES Renaissance Stakes. He ran a good race last time but has just been lacking a bit of luck in running lately. Chris Hayes has been booked to ride.

Lastly we have two runners in the Keadeen Hotel Ladies Invitational Handicap. NOBEL JOSHUA makes his debut for the yard after winning last time out in Fairyhouse. Miss L. Lindbjerg will be taking the ride. TAKE A TURN has been running well on the flat recently and should give Ms S. Brotherton a good spin.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.
