Fairy Flute

Peintre Celebre ex Easter Fairy

2012 B M

Has been campaigned largely on the flat. She has proved a very fun recruit to the Gordon Elliott Racing Club only finishing out of the money once on her 3 starts for us and is hopefully is a winner in waiting. Another who is on the smaller side – what she lacks in size she makes up for in guts, she’s a very genuine little mare who the Club is going to have plenty of fun with!

Sunday 26th February

8 Runners in Naas today:

We begin the day with MORGAN in the opening Maiden Hurdle. He finished 4th on his first start over hurdles, hopefully he will have learned a lot from this and Bryan Cooper rides.

Two of our runners go to post for the 2m Handicap Hurdle, SANIBEL ISLAND who was well beaten on his recent start, has been going well at home and hopefully he can rekindle his form, Jack Kennedy rides. LANDU makes a return to action after a long absence and he has Chris Timmons on board.

In the Grade B Handicap Chase we have GENERAL PRINCIPLE who ran an encouraging race in Gowran Park to finish 2nd on his last start, he will appreciate the softer going and has Bryan Cooper in the saddle. SPACE CADET also lines up in the Grade B Chase, he was a bit disappointing in the Leopardstown, but we hope he can put a line through that and get his spark back, Davy Russell rides.

LABAIK has proven he has a serious amount of ability but has also proven he has a mind of his own. Lets just hope he is a little more enthusiastic at the start then he has been of late and shows his capabilities yet again, Jack Kennedy rides.

CLARCAM carries top weight in the Grade 3 Handicap Chase, he has been running very consistent of late and hopefully he can keep that up and not be far away, Bryan Cooper rides.

MONBEG WORLDWIDE is our final runner of the day in the 2m Bumper. A winner of two bumpers to-date, he battled well on his last run and hopefully he can make it three in a row, Lisa O’Neill rides.

Outlander surged into our list of stable stars with a gutsy performance in the Grade 1 Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on 28th December 2016. Always a consistent horse who runs his heart out that performance, where he was chased home by stable mate Don Poli who won the race the year before, puts him firmly up there with the best horses in the yard!

Don Cossack

Our most high profile and most successful horse ‘The Don’ of course won the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup. Somewhat of a legend in the yard, he has a temperament and looks as good as his ability and is loved by everyone who meets him! His other wins include; The Grade 2 ‘Irish Form Book Future Champions Bumper’ the 2013 Grade 1 ‘Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase’ the 2014 Grade 3 ‘Star Best For Racing Coverage Chase’ the 2014 Grade 2 ‘Powers Irish Whiskey Chase’ the 2014 Grade 1 ‘John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase’ the 2015 Grade 2 ‘Kinloch Brae Chase’ the 2015 Grade 1 ‘Betfred Melling Chase’ the 2015 Grade 1 ‘Bibby Financial Services Ireland Punchestown Gold Cup’ the 2015 Grade 3 ‘Irish Daily Star Chase’ the 2015 Grade 1 ‘JNwine.com Champion Chase’ and the 2016 Grade 2 ‘Ladbrokes Ireland Kinloch Brae Chase’.

‘The Don’ was retired in January 2017 and will spend a very well deserved and very pampered retirement at Gigginstown House Stud.
