Today we have 4 runners at Thurles.

We have 3 runners representing us in the Grade 3 Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle. GUN DIGGER won well at Down Royal last time out and steps up in trip here today. This looks like a slightly tougher contest for him today but we are hopeful that he should go well under Jack Kennedy. BLOW BY BLOW hasn’t shown his Grade 1 bumper winning form over hurdles yet. He keeps the blinkers on today and with Rachel Blackmore taking the ride he could just surprise us. ROARING BULL has been running consistently throughout the season. The step up in trip should suit him and he has the addition of first time cheekpieces. We’re expecting a good performance from him under Davy Russell.

Our last runner of the day is SIR CARNO in the Thurles Handicap Hurdle. He stayed on well to win at Punchestown back in January and we’ve stepped him up in trip to 3m. Once again Jack Kennedy takes the ride and he should go close enough today.

Wednesday 21st February

We send 5 runners to Punchestown today.

ICARIO was disappointing when pulling up at Thurles last month. He’s well in himself at home and if he can show his previous form today then he should be in the mix today under Davy Russell.

GOODTHYNEMILAN (pictured) drops back in trip today. She came out of Thurles well and we are hoping she can continue her winning ways today under Liam McKenna who claims 7lb.

SWEETLIGHT D’OROUX makes her debut over hurdles today. She was a little disappointing in her bumpers but she schools well at home and we are hopeful that she’ll be more successful over hurdles. Jack Kennedy take the ride.

DELTA WORK has been showing good form in Graded races this season. There is a competitive field of 13 runners in todays Pertemps Network qualifier but we are hopeful for a good run from Delta Work with the help of Chris Meehans 5lb claim.

BLACK TEARS makes her racecourse debut today in the punchestown.com INH Flat Race. The daughter of Jeremy will be partnered by Lisa O’Neill and we are looking forward to seeing her run.
