Home/Horses For Sale

Saturday the 11th of January

It’s finally the weekend and we have some really nice horses on show over the next two days. For today we head to Fairyhouse with 12 runners.

We start off with two nice horses in the ITM Stallion Trail Hurdle, ARAMAX and GEALACH. Aramax was an unfortunate faller in the Grade 2 but he needed the run. He will have come on for that and will have Mark Walsh in the saddle today. Our second runner is last time out winner Gealach. He has improved through his runs nicely and this will be a good test to see where he is. Davy Russell will take the ride.

Next up is FLYING RISK who was a late withdrawal from Clonmel due to a change in going the last day. This mare is ready to go and this race suits her. Davy Russell will get the ride on her this time out.

We have two up for the next, a handicap hurdle MIRACLE IN MEDINAH and THUNDER DOWN UNDER. The first horse, Miracle in Medinah has come down the weights and has shown he has the ability to win in the past. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. Thunder Down Under improved on his run last time when coming 3rd and we’ve decided to claim off him with Sean O’Keeffe taking 5lbs off.

The feature race is next, the Grade A Dan & Joan Moore Handicap Chase and we have three for this. DUCA DE THAIX will carry the most out of out runners with 11st 7lbs. We will be claiming off him with Sean O’Keeffe taking of that very important 5lbs. AVENIR D’UNE VIE was a great winner last time out when he hosed up by 7 lengths. He has been penalised for that. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. DOCTOR PHOENIX rounds up the last of our runners. This grand servant was second behind Doctor Phoenix last time which was a very nice run from him. He is the mount of Davy Russell.

The next race is the Beginners Chase where we run CHOSEN MATE who kept on well last time in a similar event. It’s hard to find an easy beginners chase at the moment with many good horses from last season popping up. This will be another hot race but we hope he can run up to his merits. Davy Russell will ride.

We have 2 in the Rated Novices Chase, DIAMOND TURF and ISLE OF DESTINY. Diamond Turf ran another good race to finish 3rd. We hope he can do enough to get in the frame and Jack Kennedy will ride. Isle of Destiny was a very impressive 16 length winner on Stephens Day and hopefully he can back that up with another good run. Keith Donoghue will be riding.

Finally we have I A CONNECT in the bumper. The horse is named after the owners business venture and hopefully we can help get it into lights. He’s a nice horse and will be ridden by Barry O’Neill.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Monday 6th of January

It was another weekend to remember as we welcomed home our first winners of 2020. It’s safe to say we didn’t expect to score a 1099/1 4 timer at Cork on Saturday but all those winners were very welcomed by the team. It was great to top it all off with Envoi Allen maintaining his unbeaten record in the Lalors Novice Hurdle yesterday at Naas. We have a few more runners today over in Ayr, as we send 5 horses over.

Our first runner of the day is MISS ALOUD who goes in a Novice Hurdle race. She ran a really good race last time out where Paddy Merrigan gave her a patient ride. This looks like it might be a weaker event and we would be hopefully she can give a similar run. Richard Johnson will take the ride.

We don’t have anything for the second race and head straight for the Handicap Hurdle with SPORTY YANKEE. He is another one that ran his best race last time out when coming 2nd. It’s a similar story as we hope this will work out to be a weaker race. He is well in at the race and he will be piloted by Fergus Gregory, who enjoyed a very good weekend with a double at Newcastle.

We skip another race before we have OCEAN VOYAGE  in the Handicap Hurdle. She is at the heavier end of the weights here and might struggle on that basis. She has the ability to win and these UK races might be the best way to do that. Richard Johnson is in the saddle.

Finally we have two runners in the bumper, GET RICH DIE PLYIN and DEMOCRATIC OATH. Get Rich Die Plyin has the advantage of having run in a point to point where he came a very respectable 2nd. That should serve him well in this and he will be ridden by Richard Johnson. Our second runner in this is Democratic Oath, for which this will be his first racecourse experience. He will come on for that experience and he has Henry Brooke in the saddle.

Sunday the 12th of October

Another busy day for us as we send 14 down to Limerick.

The first race, The Ladbrokes The Nation Plays Novices Hurdle Listed Race, is a very small field of 5, for which we have 2. EVERYBREATHYOUTAKE was in great form over the summer and takes her chances stepping up to Listed company. Davy Russell will take the ride. Our second runner in the race is MILAN NATIVE who was a very good Novice Hurdler last season and will be making his seasonal debut and will have Jack Kennedy on board.

We send another two forward for the next: the Irish Racing Wall Calendar Mares Handicap Hurdle. OCEAN VOYAGE tops the weights having been a 5L winner last time out. She’s in good form after the summer holidays and is joined by BALLYDUNBLAZE. The later was a nice 3rd last time out which has set her up nicely for this. Davy Russell will be taking the ride.

The next race is another Listed event: the PricewaterhouseCoopers Irish EBF Mares Hurdle. BLACK TEARS is our only representative here. She ran a very good race in 3rd last time out, where she needed the run. Her fitness will be much improved. Davy Russell will be taking the ride and we hope the pair will feature.

Back to two runners for the next: the David Fitzgerald Memorial Handicap Hurdle. Here SASSY YET CLASSY is joined by HOLY MOTIVATION. The first has been running ok so far this season without featuring. Davy Russell will take the ride. Holy Motivation has been in flying form as she aims for a hatrick. Jack Kennedy will be riding.

In the 5th race we have another two runners. DINONS has been running well this year and was 3rd behind Wicklow Brave last time out, Davy Russell will be taking the reins. Our second horse is WESTLAND ROW who has come down the weights a little and is off a nice mark here. Jack Kennedy will be riding.

The feature race of the card is next, the Ladbrokes Munster National Handicap Steeple Chase. THE BIG LENSE has won two big pots recently and is gunning for his third in a row. He has been well treated by the handicapper and Luke Dempsey will be back on board. NAMBOUR  runs for the Gigginstown team. He was an unlucky faller last time having travelled well and we think he is ready to take his chances in this. Lastly is TIMIYAN who has been ballotted out of a few races recently. It’ll be a big task for him but we know he can stay. Niall Madden will be getting the ride on him.

Finally we have another two runners in the last, Cheltenham winner CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC will be having another go at chasing having been placed in Graded races. Keith Donoghue will be riding. CRACKING SMART was down the field in a Grade One last time out and this looks like a nice contest to get his season underway. Jack Kennedy will be taking the ride.

We wish all our horses and riders the very best of luck and to come home safe.

A gorgeous looking 4 year old by Turgeon. He has had 2 runs in P to Pts in Ireland. He unseated his rider on his 1st run and on his 2nd run he ran with a lot of promise to be a staying on 2nd. He ran very green and came from a long way back. I bought him from the same vendors who sold us Cole Harden and they recommended him to me. He is back in exercise now and I am really happy with how he is going. He has a real presence about him and I have a feeling he could have a very bright future.
