Wednesday 1st July

There was a break from racing yesterday in Ireland so we’re ready for a busy card at Tipperary where we have 9 runners.

We have two runners in the first, the MansionBet Not Rocket Science Maiden Hurdle over 2m 4f. Gun Merchant is well versed at the racecourse as a winner of his bumper and placed over the point to point fences. The trip should be no issue as this horse stays very well, Davy Russell has been booked to ride. he Rocking Chair was not disgraced in two starts on bumpers, the ground should be good for this horse but the trip is a question, Keith Donoghue will ride.

RECENT REVELATIONS gave connections a great day out when 4th in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham on his last start. He’s a smart horse who will be stepping out on the track for the first time this season, Davy Russell rides and hopefully he’ll have a good spin.

Our next runner is AERO MAJESTIC who just weakened in his first run for us last time. There’s a few in here that may take a bit of beating but we will be looking to improve from this run, Davy Russell has been booked to ride.

JAUNTY WARRIOR goes for the division 2 of the 80-95 Handicap Hurdle. This horse hasn’t been a fan of the heavy winter going so hopefully a switch to the better ground might bring some improvement in him, Davy Russell rides him.

Second in a Grade 3 Chase I’M A GAME CHANGER should have what it takes to beat beginners to win his first chase. Hopefully this will be a good start to kick off his season chasing, Davy Russell will ride.

Another chase follows suits where GIVE HIM TIME will be making his stable debut. We have done as his name suggests and given him a bit of time since he came to the yard. Keith Donoghue will be riding.

Finally we are double handed in the bumper where we have MR JACKMAN who has a stamina packed pedigree and will be ridden by Jamie Codd and PAPAL LODGE who has a mix of jumps and flat in his pedigree and will be ridden by Lisa O’Neill. It’ll be great to get these two out on the track and we look forward to seeing them run well.

Monday 29th of June

After a quiet weekend we’re back racing on the flat and over jumps in Kilbeggan and Limerick. We have 4 horses for Kilbeggan, while we send two down to Limerick.

Our two flat horses will be head to head in the Patrickswell Maiden over 1m4f at Limerick. SILVER STAR ran a very good race last time out to grab third at Fairyhouse. He will hopefully have improved for the run and will have Declan McDonogh in the saddle. THE ABBEY needed the run over course and distance last time and like his competitor we hope has improved for that, Leigh Roche will be in the saddle.

We have four runners for Kilbeggan where FIGHT FOR LOVE is our first runner in the Division 2 Follow Kilbeggan on Twitter Handicap Hurdle. This horse should enjoy the conditions today and will hopefully run a nice race with Davy Russell in the saddle.

FROM EDEN  runs in the next, the Follow Kilbeggan on Facebook Handicap Chase. This horse has been great fun for connections and will hopefully provide another good day out today. He’s off a good mark and the team will be hoping for a good run, it’ll be nice to get him back chasing with Davy in the saddle.

Another for a handicap chase is THISONESFOROLLIE in the Follow Kilbeggan on Insta handicap chase over 2m4f. This looks a very open contest and will be her first run this year. It’ll be another one for Davy and we’d be hoping for a nice run.

Finally in the bumper we have WINGS OF DESTINY with Jamie Codd on board. This horse has run a few nice races in bumpers and this doesn’t look the most difficult race in the world. Hopefully this will be a good introduction point.

Friday 26th of June

We have plenty of runners today as we’re back jumping at Tipperary and we have one flat runner on the Curragh.

The first race of the day is at Tipperary where we have two runners for the Tipperary Maiden Hurdle. INSANE BOLT will have a plenty today having had won on the flat, he had decent form over hurdles in a juvenile career but looks one who should come on for the run, Keith Donoghue will ride. BRAWNY should appreciate the better ground that is on offer here and that should be a real bonus to help him last home, Davy Russell rides.

The feature race of the day looks to be a really hot competition with many Cheltenham horses making their return. Our Cheltenham hero CHOSEN MATE is in good form going to this and it should be a good starting point for the season. We’ve stuck to hurdles and Davy Russell will ride. MENGLI KHAN also tries his hand in this. This horse struck up a great partnership with Luke Dempsey last season so we will be going with him again today.

SONG OF NAMIBIA makes his return to the track since Covid. The handicap has given him a hand which will hopefully go toward a better result, Davy rides.

Having to give away weight to the field THUNDER DOWN UNDER will hopefully well placed in this maiden hurdle to shake that tag. This is another ride for Davy.

Our next runner is MARIA FRANCESCA in the Junction Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f. This will be her first start for the yard and fingers crossed we can give her new connections a good first day out.

Finally we have CURLEW HILL in the bumper. This horse was 3rd in a very hot bumper before joining us but didn’t like conditions last time out. The better ground will hopefully see some improvement from him, Jamie Codd takes the ride.

Finally we have SISTER ELIZA in the 3yo Irish Stallion Farms Fillies maiden at the Curragh. This filly is well related but just needed some time and this will surely be a hotly contested race, Gary Halpin rides.

Wednesday 24th June

We got another winner yesterday as Lalipour was produced beautifully by Chris Hayes to get up just on the line. It’s great to see the hard work pay off. Today we have 8 runners for Roscommon over jumps and 1 runner in Naas.

Naas

THAT’S MAD runs in the Naas Handicap. He was a bit too keen on his debut for us but the softer going and drop down in trip could suit.

Roscommon

BIOVERDIA is our first runner at this evening meeting in the division 2 Tulsk Mares Maiden Hurdle over 2m. It’ll be a great starting point for her this season. She is already a winner of her bumper and the ease in the ground will help as this mare stays all day, however she will carry a penalty for that win. Davy Russell is booked to ride.

Next up is SANTANA PLESSIS in the www.roscommonracecourse.ie maiden hurdle over 2m. This horse did reasonably well on his first assignment over hurdles and has shown good form in bumpers over this distance as well. It will be another case of getting a run but hopefully with a decent result, Davy rides.

SOLDIERS HILL starts his season in the Athleague maiden hurdle. He’s a very good looking horse and won his bumper very convincingly. He has had a few runs in maiden hurdles coming up against very hot company. This looks another nice introduction to get his season underway and will be in the hands of Davy.

Unlucky not to get closer last time TIGER TWENTY TWO finished 3rd having dropped back around the home turn. He is a very tough little horse and hopefully the last race hasn’t taken to much out of him. This will be another ride for Davy.

In typical fashion we have 3 runners for the feature race at Roscommon, the Roscommon Handicap Hurdle over 3m. EVERYBREATHYOUTAKE is our highest rated horse in the race. It wasn’t his day at Cheltenham in the Martin Pipe but this horse had good form previously. He has done well for a break and will be accompanied by Keith Donoghue. GET OUT THE GATE is a new recruit to the yard and has good chase form from his previous yard. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles going back over hurdles and we have Davy Russell in the saddle. Finally we have CLONDAW NATIVE who looks to be off a nice mark here. The trip shouldn’t be a worry and we have booked Denis O’Regan to ride.

Finally in the Ladies Pro/Am we have IMPERIAL ALLURE who ran a much improved race behind the classy Politesse last time out. Hopefully she will have come on for that again and is partnered by pro Lisa O’Neill.

Tuesday 23rd June

We finally got on the board yesterday with BigBadAndBeautiful, it was a very welcome win and we were unlucky not to have another with Jawbox running very green.

Today we switch back to the flat over at Navan where we have three runners. First up is MOGHRAM in the Division 1 Oristown Handicap and will be partnered by Declan McDonogh. This horse might just be finding the 2m a bit far in his hurdling so a step back to 1m5f might help him.

Finally we have two runners in the Division 2 of the Oristown Handicap, METAL MAN will appreciate the softening conditions as he was a winner over hurdles here last season. Declan McDonogh will ride. LALIPOUR gets in as joint bottom weight but we’ve put up a strong jockey booking with Chris Hayes.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck

Monday June 22nd

It’s a big day of racing as we send full lorries to Limerick and Roscommon for flat and jumps racing.

First we head to Roscommon where we have 4 runners for their flat card on Good ground. CATHERINE CHROI runs in the opening maiden for 2yos. She was down the pack on her first run having run very green and we would be hopeful that she will be able to take a step up for today’s race. Leigh Roche has been booked to ride.

We don’t have anything for the next two races but WALKABOUT goes for the 45-65 1m2f handicap. This horse made a good return to racing last week and will hopefully improve for that run and will be ridden here by Declan McDonogh.

First time cheek-pieces will be on board CRACKAWAY for his yard debut in the 1m2f division 2 of the 45-65 handicap. It will be a bit of a fact finding mission as he hasn’t run for us yet. He will also be accompanied by Declan McDonogh.

Finally for Roscommon we have BIGBADANDBEAUTIFUL who takes her shot at the flat. Although she is a super tough bumper mare she still has a maiden tag on the flat. Her class should help her here and the decent ground will also go in her favour, Declan McDonogh will ride.

Onto Limerick, where we have GERRY’S WAY in the opening jumps race since March. This will be the gelding’s first run over hurdles and will serve as a great addition to his education. It’s a nice race to get him started off in and Davy Russell takes the ride.

We have two for the next division of the maiden hurdle. OAK PARK came home lame after his last race and has had plenty of time to recover. He has shown that he is well able in his juvenile hurdling career and can hopefully get off on the right foot today, Davy Russell rides. Our second runner is the third reserve, The Rocking Chair a lot has to go right for her to get into the race. She has good form in bumpers and looks bred for this.

BATTLE OF WILLS goes for the Limerick Hurdle over 2m and is back over his preferred going. He is a nice horse and we will be hopefully that he can get into the picture, Davy Russell rides.

MARIA FRANCESCA is second reserve for the Handicap Hurdle over 2m and we will have everything crossed that she gets in, she had reasonable form for previous connections and it would be nice to be able to get a run into her here, Davy Russell is booked.

For the mares race we have FLYING RISK, a mare who clearly has a bit of talent and has won here before. She has experience over hurdles and hopefully she’ll get first run on a few of these with Davy in the saddle.

A tough little horse called TIGER TWENTY TWO leads the way for the yard in the 2m6f Croom Handicap Hurdle. This horse has already shown us he can win and has been in good form at home. The trip should be right up his street and we look forward to seeing him run. Aero Majestic is third reserve and another one we would be hopeful of getting in, he’s ready to run and will have Keith in the saddle

Finally we have JAWBOX who will be having his first run on a racetrack in the Cappamore bumper. He’s a nice horse who has done plenty at home. It will be interesting to see how he fairs against the others but hopefully his homework is good enough to place him in good stead here. Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.

Wednesday June 17th

We only have one runner today and that is THE ABBEY in the last at Limerick. The going is curently good but Limerick has been badly hit by storms lately and with the off being at 7.35pm it gives it plenty of time for a change to occur. The Abbey will be coming back after a holiday and will handle the going. The trip might be a bit on the sharp side for him but it will be good to get a run. Leigh Roche will be riding.

Monday 15th June

Graceland ran a cracker on Saturday to scoop some place prize money for her connections on first time of asking with us. Today we have 6 runners across the two Irish flat meetings. We send 4 horses to our local Fairyhouse and 2 to Roscommon.

Our first runner of the afternoon is SILVER STAR in the 1m4f Ballyhane Stud maiden. He came 3rd on debut as a 2yo and has been successful over hurdles having won twice. It should be a good contest for him to get back racing and we have booked Declan McDonogh.

We have two runners for the Division 1 Meath Handicap TAKE A TURN who occupies the position as top weight and WALKABOUT who sits in mid division onf the weights. The weight might be a hinder to Take A Turn, but he will coming into this fresh and with the help of Chris Hayes. Walkabout looks like he might fair better with his assignment as he is off a similar mark to when he won last year. Declan McDonogh will ride.

Finally for Fairyhouse we have TRONADOR in the 2nd Division of the Meath Handicap. This horse found a different gear when sent juvenile hurdling and was good enough to go to Cheltenham. This looks a good place to get his season on the road and plenty to build on from here. Declan McDonogh rides.

Moving onto Roscommon we have LONGCLAW in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden over 1m2f. This horse has more airmiles then most on show here today and was 3rd in a Listed Stateside as a 2yo. His pedigree suggests he should improve for time and the sire is already enjoying a great season with classic winner Kameko and Curragh Gr3 winner Crossfirehurricane. Leigh Roche has been booked to ride.

Our final runner of the day is IRISH ART in the Ivan Connaughton Auctioneers Handicap again over 1m2f. This horse makes a switch back to the flat and is off an a career low mark. Leigh Roche has been booked to ride.

We wish all our runners and riders the best of luck and for a safe days racing.
