Sunday 15th of December

It’s another busy day as we have 17 horses declared for Navan and we double up in plenty of races.

The first race is a maiden hurdle where we have MR LINGO who was the winner of his point to point. It’s great to get the covers off this one. Jack Kennedy will be taking the ride. TEXARD is our second runner in this. /he has been placed in a few hurdle events and Keith Donoghue will be riding.

Next is the Navan Novice Hurdle which is a Grade 2. We have a potential stable star in the shape of ANDY DUFRESNE going forward. This is the natural progression for him and we hope he can handle graded company. Mark Walsh will ride. CONFLATED also goes for this race too. It looks the perfect race to pick up a bit of prize money with only 4 runners. Jack Kennedy will ride.

We have plenty for the next race, the Grade B Tara Handicap Hurdle. CRACKING SMART has Sean O’Keeffe on board who takes of a valuable 5lbs. MENGLI KHAN was 4th last time in a chase and has been switched back to hurdles to freshen him up. Jack Kennedy will be riding. COUNT SIMON was pulled up last time but held good form before that. Brian Hayes has been given the ride. Lastly we have PRESENT IN COURT who will be running for the first time since the summer and will be fresh for this. Denis O’Regan will be riding.

A few less horse in the next for us where we have two runners, LAST MINUTE MAN and RUN WILD FRED. The first will have come on for his run last time out and will have Keith in the saddle. The latter was a nice 3rd on his seasonal reappearance and will be partnered by Jack Kennedy.

Only 1 runner for the rated novice chase, DIAMOND TURF. This horse was a very close 3rd last time and it fit and ready for this. Jack Kennedy will take the ride.

It’s the same story for the next race too with FINAL LIST. Sean O’Keeffe will be on this, meaning we’ll be claiming again. He’ll be top weight so any reduction will be a big help.

Back to multiple runners for the handicap chase where we will be claiming off GUN DIGGER with Sean O’Keeffe again. GRAINEYHILL will also be getting a run in this. He has been knocking on the door recently and will have Jack Kennedy on board. Lastly we have MINELLA TILL DAWN who was a nice third last time. We’d be hopeful of a similar run, Mark Walsh rides.

Finally we have the listed bumper which looks a very exciting race. We have a nice horse in the shape of PENCILFULLOFLEAD who was a winner of a winners bumper at Down Royal last time out, Jamie Codd will be on board. Our other runner is FANTASIO D’ALENE who will be partnered by the in form Lisa O’Neill.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Saturday14th of December

The wet weather has effected Fairyhouse today and they’ve had to cancel a race. However they’ve managed to put together a great 6 race card for which we have 10 runners and 1 reserve.

We get to take a second crack at BRAWNY in the first, a horse we bought back in the summer and looks like a handy horse for a juvenile campaign. NOBEL JOSHUA is another who will get a run in this. He will need to improve in his jumping and Denis O’Regan will be in the saddle. Global Quality is currently the first reserve and we have provisionally booked Paddy Merrigan.

The next is a Handicap Hurdle for which we have another two runners. EMPIRE BURLEQUE was a reasonable 4th in a similar contest last time out and has Jack Kennedy in the plate today. He is off a nice mark so we’d be hope he can be competitive. FIGHT FOR LOVE is our second in this. He was disappointing last time out but has been dropped in the weights. Denis O’Regan will be riding.

Another Hurdle race follows where we have another two runners. OSMOTIC won by 9 lengths last time and moves up to maiden hurdles. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. BRAESIDE is our second horse in this and he is a horse that wears his heart on his sleeve and always gives his best. Keith Donoghue will ride.

We continue to double up with horses and have another two in the division 1 of the handicap hurdle. ROBIN DEUZ POIS will be having her first run for the yard having come to us from the sales. There’s plenty of improvement left in her but she might need this first run. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. Secondly is SPORTY YANKEE who has dropped in the weights which will help, Denis O’Regan.

We have one runner for the division 2 of this race, KAYF THOU. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride and should help this horse along.

Finally we have GLAN in the bumper with Jamie Codd in the saddle. She’s a nice horse but so are a few others in this race. We hope they can put up a good performance.

We wish all our horses the very best of luck and a safe return.

Friday 13th of December

Today we have 4 runners on three different tracks: Chelmsford, Cheltenham and Dundalk.

Our first race will be at Cheltenham with OUT SAM who goes in the Cross Country race. This will be his first time with this variety of fences. The trip shouldn’t be an issue and we will be hoping for a nice run. Keith Donoghue has made the trip over for the ride.

Next is CAPTAIN POWER in the 7th race at Chelmsford. He ran a really good race last night to finish 2nd and takes a drop back in trip for tonights event. Sean Davis has been booked to ride.

Lastly we head to Dundalk for our two runners there. PINK JAZZ makes his debut on the all weather after having a few starts on turf. He is also coming into this fresh having had a small break. Nathan Crosse has been booked to ride.

GENTLE M’AM makes her racecourse debut in the 7.45. Chris Hayes has been booked to ride her. She is a sweet filly and might just need the run first time out.

We wish all our runners the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Thursday 12th of December

We only have the one runners today and that is CAPTAIN POWER over in Chelmsford. It has been a mammoth task getting the horse over there as the bad weather has caused huge delays with the ferries. Irish company looks to be proving a bit hard for this horse so he will be taking his chance in the UK. We have booked Adam Kirby for the ride to give him the best chance.

We wish the pair the best of luck and for a safe return.

Tuesday 10th of December

It’s a very windy and wet day out there so race conditions are going to be very tough. We have potentially 4 going forward for Tramore today.

We have the first reserve for the first race with Miss Aloud and we have provisionally booked Jack Kennedy to ride.

Our next runner is FEROCIOUS in the Maureen Mullins Award 2019 Maiden Hurdle over 2m5f. He’ll have blinkers on for the first time and it will also be his debut over hurdles. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

THREE IS COMPANY is the next runner in the Beginners Chase. He has been fairly reliable in his first two starts over fences so far. Jack Kennedy has been booked and hopefully the pair can go close.

Finally we have Lisa O’Neil and ONE DOWN in the Ladies bumper. He was a good 4th on debut and has hopefully learned from that experience.

We need 1 more winner to push us over the 100 mark for Irish winners for the season so far. Fingers crossed that comes today.

Sunday 8th of December

It’s another busy day, with runners in Punchestown, Cork and Huntingdun with 14 runners.

First to Huntingdun, where FLYING RISK is our only runner of the day there. She runs in the Listed Fitzdares Henrietta Knight Mares’ Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race. She was a winner of her only start today and comes back to try pick up a bit of black type. Daryl Jacob will ride.

Next we will go to Punchestown where we have another two lovely mares for the Listed Mares Hurdle. ARD ABHAINN has been in good form and picked up a maiden hurdle. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. MOUNT IDA is another one who is enjoying life at the minute as she was a 4L winner last time out and deserves the step up in comapny. Davy Russell will be on board.

We have just the one, MIRACLE IN MEDINAH for the next. He’s high enough in the weights but has shown good form in the past. Keith Donoghue will take the ride.

Next is the feature Grade 1 John Durkin where we have two runners. HARDLINE was third last time out but will have come on for that. Keith Donoghue will be riding. We also have SHATTERED LOVE who put on a great display when asserting by 34l in a Listed contest. This will be a different question all together. Jack Kennedy will take the ride.

I’M A GAME CHANGER is our only runner in the beginner chase. There’s a few seasoned horses in this contest so it won’t be straight forward. He has done well since coming to us and was unfortunate to fall last time. Davy Russell is booked to ride.

Lastly for Punchestown we have two in the bumper. GRANGECLARE NATIVE was a winner of his point to point and takes his chance in this. Lisa O’Neill has been booked to ride. Also in this is THE SLIDING ROCK, who is half to a winner. We will be claiming off this one as Jack Wildman takes off 7lbs.

Finally we go down to Cork where GEALACH goes in the first. He dropped back a bit last time out and we’ve put Paddy Merigan on to see if the pair can click.

We have two for the maiden hurdle next, DESIRE DE JOIE and ELUSIVE REBELDOM. Desire De Joie will be having his first run for us and goes straight over hurdles. Elusive Rebeldom stepped up last time to come 3rd in a bumper and looked like he needed a few hurdles. Paddy Merigan has been jocked up.

An impressive winner last time out, coming from nowhere was LARQUEBUSE, who goes in the Grade 3 stayers novice hurdle. It’s a step up in class but having finished off her race with such speed she’s worth it. Denis O’Regan has been booked to ride.

Another nice mare is TINTANGLE who goes in the Grade 3 Novice’s Chase. She tried to go left last time out and cheek pieces will be on her here. Denis O’Regan will be getting the leg up.

We wish all our runners the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Saturday 7th of December

It’s a busy day ahead of us as we have 14 runners and 2 reserves at Navan, along with 1 runner over in Aintree.

Our first runner at Navan is last season’s Land Rover Bumper winner, FESTIVAL D’EX. He will be having his first spin over hurdles today and it is a very big field. He looks a nice horse but the division looks wide open and we have a lot more to learn about this one. Davy Russell will be riding. Sunday A Paris is also in this but as first reserve with Jack Kennedy booked just in case.

The next is another big field and we have 3 runners and the second reserve. COLUMN OF FIRE was third last time out in a race with a similar profile. Jack Kennedy will be riding him here. COOLAGH PARK is our second contender and was 2nd in a bumper on his only previous start. He’s a horse that looks like he needs a hurdle and we’ve booked Davy Russell to ride. Lastly is JAUNTY WARRIOR who is still relatively lightly raced. Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride. Last Minute Man is currently the second reserve.

We move on to the feature of the day, the eCOMM Merchants Solutions Grade B Handicap Hudle. We have another 3 runners for this valuable prize. SIRE DU BERLAIS is the top weight with 11st 10lbs and will be having his first run of the season. Keith Donoghue will take the ride. COKO BEACH ran a good race behind Coeur Sublime the last time and we’d be hoping he can improve from that. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. Finally we have FLAXEN FLARE who has been a noble servent. Denis O’Regan will ride.

Moving on to the Beginners Chase and we have ELWOOD who takes his first venture over the bigger obstacles. It’ll be a hot enough race, where Jack Kennedy will take the ride.

The Grade 3 Novice’s Chase is next with only a 5 runner field where we have 2. ECLAIR DE BEAUFEU made a few mistakes the last time which hindered his chances. Jack Kennedy is riding and we hope his jumping will have improved. I’M A GAME CHANGER is our other runner in this. We can put a line through his last run where he fell. He was a good third to Fakir D’oudaires and tht horse has gone on to prove that he is something special. Davy Russell is booked.

The penultimate race is the Foxrock Handicap Chase, Grade B. We have another 3 runners for this. BEN DUNDEE will be carrying the most of our three runners with 10st 12lbs including Davy Russell. WOODS WELL hasn’t dropped a great deal in the weights. We have put Jack Kennedy up. Finally is GLENLOE, who made good ground late on in his last run. Mark Walsh has been booked to ride.

Finally for Navan, in the bumper we have WIDE RECEIVER who was an impressive winner of his point to point. Lisa O’Neill has been booked to ride this one.

Across to Aintree where we have ALPHA DES OBEAUX in the Grade 3 Beecher Chase over the National course. It’s a hard race to predict and Alpha hasn’t put a foot wrong so far this season and is in good shape for this. Richard Johnson has been booked to ride.

Friday 6th of December

It was a successful trip down to Clonmel yesterday as The Storyteller won the feature and Braeside was as consistent as ever and picked up a place. We have one definite runner today and one reserve.

SHAWSBRIDGE will be running over in Sedgefield today in the Spray Technologies Aerosols Maiden Hurdle. He was a distant 3rd for us on his only start so far for the yard. It’s time for this horse to go over hurdles and it looks a soft race with Gavin Cromwell’s being a big danger. Craig Nichol has been booked to ride.

We have the first reserve in the Happy Christmas From All At Dundalk Stadium Maiden with Gentle M’am. It’s very unlikly that she will get in but if she were, it would be her first run.

We wish the pair the very best of luck and for a safe return.
