Monday 15th of February

Today we head to Thurles for their rescheduled meeting from last week that fell foul of the weather.

RECENT REVELATIONS goes in the opening Beginners Chase over 2m. This horse ran very well on chase debut at Gowran to finish 4th so we know there is another good run in him. There are probably a few that are too good for him today an he will be ridden by Jack Kennedy.

Next up is HELL ON EARTH in the Handicap Chase over 2m. We have decided to claim off him with Paul Cawley who takes a valuable 7lbs off. This horse had far from a clear run the last day as he was carried out in a pile up hopefully things go better today.

It’s tough work getting horses into Maiden hurdles at the moment as we send HAMUNDARSON up for the third race. This looks a very competitive race and we have booked Jack Kennedy to run. Landing Zone is unlikely to run as he is first reserve.

Luckily we get two in for the next maiden hurdle this time over 2m7f. EXCELCIOR ran well on his return and there should be a good bit of improvement from that as he is a very unexposed horse, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. DUNBOYNE looks like a young horse on the up and holds some good form with top class horses, he will be ridden by Keith Donoghue.

Our final runner of the day comes in the bumper, PERFECT ATTITUDE. This horse showed much improvement from his two outings and looks to be going in the right direction. He will be ridden by Aubrey McMahon.

Sunday 14th February

Happy St. Valentines day! As expected we head to Punchestown to celebrate for their Grand National Trial Day. It’ll be a nice short day for our stable as we have 6 runners in two races kicking off with the fifth race on the card.

MULTIFACTORIAL  goes in the David Trundley Artist Handicap Hurdle over 3m. We have chosen to claim off this top weight with Paul Cawley in the saddle taking off a valuable 7lbs giving this horse a good chance of running his best race.

Next up for us is the Grand National Trial over 3m4f lead by ALPHA DES OBEAUX as top weight with Rob James onboard claiming 7lbs. DOUNIKOS has cheek pieces fitted for the first time and he is off a nice mark for this Grade B with Bryan Cooper in the saddle. ROARING BULL is made for these events and is the pick of Jack Kennedy. MONEBEG NOTORIOUS is a past Thyestes winner so knows how to do well in one of these events, he will be ridden by Denis O’Regan. Final we have OUT SAM who is well schooled over further and a regular in cross country races, his stamina could be a big help today and is ridden by Kevin Sexton.

Saturday 13th of February

There finally seems to be a break in the weather as Naas gets the go ahead after a night of light snowfall. We have a busy day ahead of us as we send runners for each race in today’s card.

For the opener, the Div I of the maiden hurdle we have LANDING ZONE who will be having his first run for us having had endured being a reserve and being balloted out a number of times. This will be his first run over hurdles and he is given the best chance with Jack Kennedy in the saddle. CORRAN CROSS is second reserve today and is unlikely to get in.

DON DIABLO however does get in for Div II of this maiden hurdle for the same connections as Corran Cross. This horse is not short on experience or talent and will be ridden by Jack Kennedy.

The feature race of the day is the Opera Hat Listed mares Chase over 2m where we have two runners. The evergreen SHATTERED LOVE  gets weight from Elimay and can hopefully put her last run behind her and will be ridden by Jack Kennedy. TINTANGLE is none the worse after her fall the last day where she was having a good run before that tumble, Rachael Blackmore has been booked to ride.

We send two for the Handicap Chase over 2m4f in the shape of MINELLA TILL DAWN and GUN DIGGER. Both horses are very similar but off nice marks here, Mark Walsh will ride Minella and Rob James will ride Gun Digger and claim 7lbs.

SIDESHIFT is our only runner in the Rated Novice Hurdle over 1m7f. Although not a winner yet, this horse has posted some good form figures and this looks a tight enough bunch where a weight advantage could be a big help, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

O CONNELL STREET comes back off a little lay off here for the opportunity handicap where Jack Wildman has a 2lbs claim. He should improve for the run and this looks a nice place to start him back.

GEVREY has become a solid performer for connections and was going very well the last day before unseating close to home. This looks another nice field that he can hopefully do well in and JAck Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Finally for the bumper we have two runners. BLACKTRENCHWARRIOR will be having his first venture onto the racecourse today under Lisa O’Neill. This horse is related to some very nice staying horses on the flat and hopefully that influence can come through. EYEWITNESS ran a very good race on debut and will have gained a lot from that and he is the choice of Jamie Codd.

Friday 12th of February

It’s the end of a long week where unfortunately we had to turn back from Thurles yesterday with heavy snowfall meaning the meeting was abandoned. Today we head with one to Dundalk this afternoon.

SISTER ELIZA goes in the Find Us On Facebook @dundalkstadium Handicap over 1m4f. She needs to break better than she did the last day to go well here but she has been going well at home so she should have a good chance here with Billy Lee in the saddle.

Thursday 11th of February

The weather has played havoc with racing this week but Thurles has yet again pulled through an inspection to go ahead today. However, there will be constant observation as the weather is set to turn later in the day.

RECENT REVELATIONS goes in the opening Beginners Chase over 2m. This horse ran very well on chase debut at Gowran to finish 4th so we know there is another good run in him. There are probably a few that are too good for him today an he will be ridden by Jack Kennedy.

Luckily we get two in for the next maiden hurdle this time over 2m7f. Monday 8th of February

It was great to get a win on the board yesterday and to see all the horses running so well. We get the go ahead bright and early for Fairyhouse today as the going remains heavy.

The card kicks off with a beginners chase over 2m5f for which we have two runners. BRAESIDE was a non-runner yesterday as the ground was drying out fast, he is in good order and goes forward for this with Jack Kennedy in the saddle. Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride DESIRE DE JOIE who switches to cheekpieces for today’s run.

Top of the weights in the Cavalor Equine Nutrition Handicap Chase is DAKOTA MOIRETTE who we have decided to claim off of with Jack Foley who takes away 7lbs.

Jack Kennedy rides ROBIN DEUZ POIS in the Follow Fairyhouse On Social Handicap Chase over 3m1f. This mare has been putting up good form figures lately and is on a nice mark here so we hope she can run a nice race for connections.

The Greek is first reserve for Division I but we haven’t heard anything, thankfully the course isn’t too far away so if he gets in we have plenty of time to get him there, Jack Kennedy is booked.

GRAND PARADIS has a tongue tie fitted for the first time as he goes for Division II of the maiden hurdle. He looks a very talented young horse who should improve for his run the last day, Jack Kennedy has been booked. Landing Zone is in the same position as The Greek as first reserve, so we will wait and see.

We have another two runners for the Easter Festival Maiden Hurdle over 2m4f, DIRECT FIRE and FOXHOLE. Direct Fire looks to have found himself a nice race here and Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. Foxhole needs to improve on recent form and will be ridden by Keith Donoghue.

Finally in the Opportunity Handicap Hurdle we have top weight ENNEMI PUBLIC who will be ridden by Jack Wildman who has a 4lbs claim in this race.

Sunday 7th of February

It’s day 2 of the Dublin Racing Festival and we have a real exciting bunch of horses to go to battle with today.

For the Paddy Mullins Mares Handicap hurdle we have three talented mares to go forward. DAYLIGHT KATIE tops the table at top weight. Her race back in November will have been enough to sharpen her up for this and it’ll be great to see her out again. TINTANGLE is another right at the top of the weights and she will receive aid from Hugh Morgan who claims 5lbs. Finally FELICIDAD who is a talented filly is the pick of Jack Kennedy.

This year’s Grade 1 Juvenile Hurdle looks as hot as ever as one of our stars, QUILIXIOS takes on a small but talented field of young horses. This horse has a bright future ahead of him so we will be looking forward to seeing him run, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

An equally as exciting race sees BALLYADAM, WIDE RECEIVER and MAGIC TRICKS take on 13 other rivals for the Grade 1 Novice Hurdle. Ballyadam has excuses for his run against older horses the last day and is the pick of Jack Kennedy. Wide Receiver comes to life in these big races and will be ridden by Robbie Power. MAGIC TRICKS is another talented young horse who looks well up to the step up in class and will be ridden by Mark Walsh.

We have another top weight for the William Fry Handicap Hurdle as CRACKING SMART will be our only representative in the 22 horse field. He’ll have a lot to do and will be ridden by 7lbs claimer Jack Wildman.

For the Flogas Novices Chase we have ANDY DUFRSNE and CONFLATED. Andy Dufresne comes into this fresh and ready for the strong competition and will be ridden by Mark Walsh. Conflated can often be forgotten about but is a very good chaser looked set for a good race, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

The feature race of the weekend has ended up much smaller than expected as only 5 go forward meaning all finishers will be in the prize money. DELTA WORK was triumphant in this race last year and looks set to defend his title, Jack Kennedy will once again ride. THE STORYTELLER deserves to take his chance in this and will be ridden by Keith Donoghue.

We have 3 for the Grade A Gaelic Plant Hire Handicap Chase, where we have top weight yet again with CHOSEN MATE who will be ridden by Keith Donoghue. FARCLAS has been runner very well lately and looks like he has another big race in him and is the mount of Jack Kennedy. Finally we have BRAESIDE who is off a really nice mark and should be competitive.

Finally in the mares bumper we have the very exciting HOLLYMOUNT who could be anything as an exciting bumper winner already, Lisa O’Neill takes the ride. PARTY CENTRAL is a filly who already has black type to her name and looks a serious filly in the making, Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.

Saturday 6th of February

It’s hard to believe a little over a year ago we were at the Dublin Racing Festival without a care in the world enjoying racing as usual. Today however, things are very different but the racing is still high quality.

For the opening Grade 1, the Nathaniel Lacy Solicitor Novice Hurdle over 2m6f we have FAKIERA who looked like he needed every inch the last day and for that reason has been put up in distance again here. We have also decided to fit him with cheek pieces for the first time to help keep him focused, he will have Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

Our next Grade 1 we have FELIX DESJY for the Patrick Ward & Co. Arkle Novice Chase over 2m1f. He ran with credit the last day and we hope he can improve from that again in similar conditions here and has Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

We have plenty to keep an eye out for in the Matheson Handicap Chase as we have 3 runners heading over. ARAMAX was a very impressive winner the last day and it was great to see him come back to form, he will be ridden by Jody McGarvey. OR JAUNE DE SOMOZA has a big race in him and he goes off a nice mark here and will have Jack Kennedy in the saddle. Finally we have BEL AMI DE SIVOLA who had been mixing it up between the point to point track and under rules, he will be ridden by Denis O’Regan. We also have the first reserve, Timoteo who have Jack Wildman provisionally booked.

The feature race of the day is the Chanelle Pharma Irish Champion Hurdle where we have ABACADABRAS and PETIT MOUCHOIR. Abacadabras wasn’t himself the last day but he has got over that and that run can be ignored. He will be the mount of Jack Kennedy. Petit Mouchoir comes alive around Leopardstown and his last run showed he still has plenty of talent and love for the game, Byran Cooper retains the ride.

Another big pot comes next in the Ladbrokes Hurdle over 2m. THE VERY MAN is a very useful sort and should make good use of himself here, Conor McNamara claims 5lbs. A winner at this festival last year ECLAIR DE BEAUFEU tries to win big again and looks to be off a handy mark here again. ESKYLANE is another who has talent and should be able to make the most of handicaps like these, Denis O’Regan has been booked to ride. Finally we have SAINT D’OROUX who is the choice of Jack Kennedy and is another who gets a nice weight in this.

Finally to wrap up the day we have CHEMICAL ENERGY in the very exciting Goffs Future Stars Bumper. This race has cut up to look like a real test and will hopefully show to be one of the hottest bumpers this season. Our horse has a good chance and looks solid to take the step forward, Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.
