Saturday the 11th of October

Things have started to ramp up a gear as the jumps are truly back. Today we send 13 to Fairyhouse.

We kick things off with the Return Of the Jumps Mares Beginners Steeple Chase where we have two runners. First up is EDENE D’ARC who was 2nd in a Novice hurdle event last time out before going on her summer holiday. She has taken to her work well and Davy Russell has been booked to ride. TINTANGLE also makes her seasonal debut. She was a top class Novice hurdler last season and has done very well over the summer. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

We send another two forward for the Winter Festival Nov30 & Dec1 Beginners Steeple Chase. CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC was placed on his two starts last season after nearly two years off. We hope he can make the same sort of impression again. Jack Kennedy is in the saddle. FLAWLESS ESCAPE ran a good second on his seasonal debut and looks to be in good form. Davy Russell will be taking the reins.

We have just one runner in the next, THISONESFOROLLIE who was highly consistent when racking up a string of 4th place finishes. She has had a decent summer holiday and is fresh for this. Kevin Brogan will be riding and taking a bit of weight of her back.

In the fourth race, we have two runners. DAYLIGHT KATIE was another one who posted some very consistent runs last season. She was twice graded placed and flew home in her bumper. This looks a nice one to get her off the mark over obstacles. SAINT OR SINNER  is our other runner in this. She was a winner first time out but her jumping has let her down in her runs since then. Jack Kennedy will be riding and hopefully he can help her overcome these issues.

For the Fairyhouse For Fundraisers Handicap Hurdle we have another two runners. THE ABBEY was second last time out and is in good form going here. He will be penalised for his good form and we have booked Davy Russell to ride. Our second runner is FIGHT FOR LOVE who had his first run for the yard last time out. It was great to get a few miles into his legs after a long break and he should have come on for it. Jack Kennedy will be taking the ride.

We don’t have anything in the next race but in the bumper we send forward three. FARSIDEOFTHEMOON will be seeing the track for the first time and will be in the trusty hands of Lisa O’Neill. The horse will need the run and we hope to learn a lot from the outing. SINGING TREE is another one who is relatively new to racing. She was down the field on her debut and looks to build from that Paddy Vaughan will be riding. Lastly LADY OF ELYSIUM has been 2nd on both her previous starts. She looks to go one better we hope and we have put Jamie Codd on board.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Thursday 26th of September

It was great to get another winner on the board yesterday with Holy Motivation and some good efforts by Graineyhill and Global Jackpot to get placed in their races.

We move forward in search of more prize money and have another 5 runners over in Perth.

IS FANTASTIC found life over in Ireland on the Flat a bit hard. She has been switched to hurdles in the opener, the Edinburgh Gin 2019 Perth Horsemen Awards Juvenile Maiden Hurdle. She carries the lowest weight and has the skills of Richard Johnson to encourage her around.

PAT’S OSCAR runs in the Lord Mansfield Memorial Handicap Chase. This is a drop back in trip for her, however she will be carrying top weight. The going looks to be in her favour and we’ve booked Richard Johnson to ride.

Moving onto the next race, the Heineken UK Novices’ Hurdle, where ROAD TO DUBAI has come out as the favourite. He has been running very consistently since his last win, but is giving weight away all around here. Hopefully it can be a straightforward task and Richard Johnson rides.

Theres a break of a couple of races before our next runner, PISTOL SHOOT who goes in the Follow @RacingTV On Twitter Handicap Chase. He was badly hampered last time out and is a horse who has shown he’s up to the task of winning before joining the yard albeit in Point to Points. Hopefully the race works out for him and he can come home with a bit of prize money. Richard Johnson takes the ride.

Our final runner of the day is VISCOUNT WILSON in the Have Your Christmas Party At Perth Handicap Hurdle. He is a particularly tricky horse and we hope we catch him on a good day here. Richard Johnson has been booked to ride.

We don’t have any Irish runners today so we wish all our runners in Perth the best of luck.

Wednesdsay 18th of September

We didn’t have any runners yesterday and only one today.

CLOG NA FOLA runs in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Naas today, on their all 2yo card. Her last trip to the racecourse wasn’t quite successful as she ran loose on the way to the start and then again once she was caught. She can be quite hot and we hope that Gary Halpin can channel that into her race. We hope for a more relaxed start and hopefully she can get a run under her belt.

We also have two reserves in the Christmas Party at Naas Nursery Handicap, Pink Jazz and Rythmic Melody. Both are unlikely to get in, but hopefully a suitable race comes up for them soon.

Tiger Roll had his last major appearance at the Ploughing Championships yesterday. Everyone there made him very comfortable with his own stable and parading area. We hope everyone enjoyed seeing him.

Thursday 29th August

Today we send 5 horses up to Bellewstown.

Our first runner of the afternoon is CARRIE DES CHAMPS in the Racing Post Mares Hurdle. Carrie won well last time out over in the UK. This might not be as straight forward with slightly hotter competition. Jack Kennedy is in the hot seat and hopefully the pair can continue her winning ways.

WARLIKE INTENT runs in the next, the Wintergrass Maiden Hurdle over 2m4f. This horse hasn’t seemed to hit the right note yet in maiden company. we hope that Bellewstown is to his liking and he can regain some of his form. Jack Kennedy will be riding.

There is a gap of one race before KURAKA runs in the Bluegrass Feeds Mullacurry Cup Handicap Hurdle, which is the feature race of the day. He needed the run last time out and we’ve put a set of blinkers on him. Hopefully these can light him up a bit but this is more of a fact finding mission. Jack Kennedy is booked to ride.

Another break until we send forth our final two runners in the John Purfield Memorial Handicap Hurdle over 3m. Old favourite NED STARK is the first for owner Noel Moran in the race. We’ve fitted him with headgear here to keep his concentration on the hurdles. Denis O’Regan will be riding. The second runners for connections is SWINGBRIDGE who has dropped a fair amount in the weights in this occasion. Jack Kennedy is booked to ride.

We wish all our runners the best of luck and for a safe return.

Monday 26th of August

Today we’re sending 6 horses up for Downpatrick’s day meeting.

Our first runner of the day is CATS FOR CASH in the A J C Group Newcastle Maiden Hurdle where there are only 7 runners. Cats for Cash had a spin on the flat last time out and was quite disappointing, this however looks like a very modest race with few competitors. Hopefully fortunes will changes for Cats and Jack Kennedy will be in the hot seat.

There’s a break of a couple races before we send two out in the Charles Caldwell Memorial Maiden Hurdle, Jaunty Warrior and Three is company. First up is JAUNTY WARRIOR who is making his first racecourse appearance since winning back in 2017. It has been a very long lay off so he will come on for this race. Jack Kennedy will be taking the ride. Our second horse is THREE IS COMPANY who has had respectable form of late and like it around here. Denis O’Regan has been booked to ride.

We have two runners in the next race as well. ALPHA INDI is another one who makes a racecourse return off a big lay off, he is also making his debut for us. He held reasonable form before coming to us but hopefully he can find a bit more. Keith Donoghue is on board. The second horse is the very productive MAKE MY HEART FLY, who has barely been out of the placing this summer. Jack Kennedy rides and hopefully she can bag her first chase.

Our final runner of the afternoon is HOME AND AWAY who will be having her first run under rules and for us. She can be quite a hot character so hopefully she can put some of that into her races. Lisa O’Neill will be doing the driving.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Friday 16th August

It’s a wet and windy start to the weekend and we send 4 runners down to Tramore.

In the first race, the EY Steeple Chase, we have 2 runners. The first of which is last time out winner WESTLAND ROW. He is enjoying a purple patch as he could potentially get a 3 timer here. However, it could turn out to be a very hot race indeed. Denis O’Regan will ride. Leading the betting is BARRA, who was home and hosed before falling in the Midlands National two starts ago. She didn’t turn up at Galway last time out but we hope she can show something like her Kilbeggan form. Jack Kennedy is in the saddle.

It’s a break of two races to the 4th, the Assembly Techniques Handicap Hurdle where we have one runner: MONITION. He is still a maiden over hurdles after 15 starts but he has showed sparks of ability. Hopefully, today is one of those days that he decides to shine. Jack Kennedy is booked to ride.

Our final runner of the evening is BOLD GESTURE in the Definite Ruby Maiden Hurdle. He probably needed the run last time, so fitness shouldn’t be an issue here. we’re hoping he can run a good race and get his head into the frame. Jack Kennedy is booked to ride.

We wish all our horses and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Tuesday 6th August

There is only one meeting today in Ireland, and that is in Roscommon. We will be sending 5 horses.

Our first runner is a new one for the yard, GLOBAL FREEDOM who is making the change from the flat to jumps. He runs in the Railway Bar 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle over 1m7f. Denis O’regan will be riding and can hopefully teach this gelding a few things on his national hunt debut.

In the next race we have MONITION who will be ridden by Keith Donoghue. Monition makes the switch back to Hurdles having disappointed on his Chase debut last time. The Paul Byron Shoes Maiden Hurdle over 2m3f will hopefully be the ticket to better form.

For the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginner Steeple Chase we have two runners. The first is the hattrick scorer DARLING MISS. She has been in flying form this year and made a pleasing start to Chasing when second on her debut. Denis O’Regan will be riding. Our second runner in this race is ISLE OF DESTINY, who has a similar profile to Darling Miss having been placed over fences. Keith Donoghue will ride.

The last runner of the day is GLOBAL JACKPOT in the J.F Hanley Beginners Steeple Chase over 2m. He’s not the most straightforward as he has been a little disappointing of recent. Hopefully the tide ahs changed and Keith Donoghue can get a different tune out of him today.

We wish all our horses and riders the very best of luck and for a safe return.

Monday 5th August

Today we have 6 runners under both codes and across two courses.

We head down to Cork for the Children Under 14 Race Free Handicap Hurdle for CATS FOR CASH. He found himself at the front half of the pack at Galway but was no threat to the leading trio.
He seems to be in a positive vein of format the moment and Davy Russell will take the ride.

We have two runners in the next race, the Joe Walsh Memorial Hurdle. Top weight goes to COUNT SIMON who was unable to continue the winning streak last time when he was 3rd at Bellewstown. Hopefully he should be in the mix as he is a consistent type that will give it a good go. Davy Russell rides. EVERYBREATHYOUTAKE is our second runner and he found one too good for him last time out. He has another crack at 3 miles and Keith Donoghue rides.

Our final runner at Cork is RIAN THOMAS in the Enjoy Afternoon Tea At Cork INH Flat Race. Things didn’t go his way in Kilbeggan and it was good to see him return to form last time out. He is yet to win, so Jamie Codd has been booked to help to try and change this.

Over to Naas for a couple of flat runners. CAPTAIN POWER runs in the Naas Racecourse Handicap over 6f. He still hasn’t quite found his mark and the stalls still present a risk factor to his race. Hopefully he can overcome the later and see how he fairs at the weights. Gary Halpin rides.

The final runner in Naas is RYTHMIC MELODY in the ISF EBF Fillies Median Auction Maiden over 7f. She was able to build on her debut last time out as she finished just outside the placings in 4th. The 7f looks to be her trip and hopefully further improvement can come with experience. Chris Hayes will take the ride.

We wish all our horses and riders the best of luck and for a safe return.
