Sunday 22nd November

We go to opposite ends of the country today as we have 10 for Navan and 4 for Cork in what we hope will be a very productive day at the races.

Firstly we head to Cork where our runners come in the last four races. COMMENTARIOLUS had a great freshener the last day when running on the flat under Sam Ewing. That should leave him well for this Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f which will turn out to be a strong test of stamina. Kevin Sexton has been booked to ride.

MOUNT IDA was a very smart mare hurdling last season and graduates into chasing company for the first time. She has been schooling well at home and has found a nice mares event here, Denis O’Regan has been booked to ride.

Another horse to run well the last day was DAKOTA MOIRETTE before unseating 2 out. Again that should put him right in the frame here and we take 7lbs off with the in form Jack Foley.

Finally in Cork we have AXIOMATIC in the Beginners Chase. He ran ok the last day and that will certainly be of benefit to him here today. We’ll be using another claimer in the form of Paul Cawley.

Moving over to Navan we kick things off with two in the EBF Maiden Hurdle. FOLCANO makes his first start for the yard having graduated from the pointing field. This horse is a brother to the very good Farclas and will be ridden by Keith Donoghue. WIDE RECEIVER has been running very well in graded company of late and takes this drop back in class with Jack Kennedy in the saddle.

The Grade 3 Monksfield Novice Hurdle comes next and it has attracted a small field. We send forward FAKIERA and FAROUK D’ALENE. Fakiera just held on the last day after a spat of placings. This is a big step up for him and he will be ridden by Keith Donoghue. FAROUK D’ALENE demolitions a maiden field at Down Royal at the end of last month and he looks to build on that with this step up in class, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

ELITE TROOPER GREY looks to have found a nice mark now having been placed last time out. He goes for the Gamble Responsibly Handicap Hurdle over 2m. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Making a return from a long absence is DEFI BLEU who goes in the Beginners Chase over 2m1f. This big scopey horse looks a made chaser and was a very good hurdler when he was last on the track. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

It’s another small field for the Grade 2 Chase over 3m, where RAVENHILL takes on only 3 others. Ravenhill has a bounty of race fitness behind him and should enjoy the conditions. It looks a good contest to try and pick up a bit of place money, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Contrastingly, the next race will have 19 runners. LAST MINUTE MAN leans towards the top of the weights. This horse was a little disappointing last time but still ran an ok race. Like many of ours now he’ll have a run under his belt and should be better this time around with Keith Donoghue in the saddle. Our second runner in this is MULTIFACTORIAL who will be assisted by Jack Kennedy as he sits in the middle of the weights.

Finally in the mares bumper we have a new recruit, PARTY CENTRAL. This mare comes to us already a winner of a bumper and looks to do the same again here with new connections, Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.

Saturday 20th of November

We don’t have to travel too far today as we go to Naas with some very nice horses.

ENVIOUS EDITOR hasn’t done anything wrong since coming to us and as twice finished third on all his starts for us so far. He looks like he’s one who might appreciate softer conditions and that’s what will come his way in this opening maiden hurdle, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

A Grade 2 is next on the line up, the Old Persian At Glenview Fishery Lane Hurdle over 2m. CALL ME LYREEN has turned into a very exciting young horse and is one that has gone from strength to strength. It’ll be a close run contest on paper as the majority of the field look proper national hunt types. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Our next runner is FANTASIO D’ALENE in the Irish Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle over 2m3f. This horse was very talented last season in bumpers and takes his chance here in the maiden hurdle. This will be his first start of the season and he is a horse who should improve with age and Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride. Gars De Sceaux currently sits as second reserve and is one we would be very excited about to see run.

PARANOID goes in the Rathbarry & Glenview Novices Handicap over 2m4f. This horse would appreciate it if no more rain fell as we don’t want it getting too soft for him. He has been running really well since coming to us and we have booked Jack Kennedy to ride.

Finally in the Beginners Chase to round off the card we have 3 nice horses. COMMANDER OF FLEET wasn’t seen last season but was a very classy horse. He is built to go chasing and his form from that year places him with the best. Getting a mares allowance we have LARQUEBUSE who will be remembered for flying home to cause a dead heat last season. She will be ridden by Keith Donoghue. Finally rounding them off is WALKABOUT who will be ridden by Denis O’Regan. This horse has a bit of experience over fences and looks like he’ll be good fun.

Sunday 15th of November

It’s another busy day as we ship another lorry load of horses across to Punchestown and have our last runner over in Cheltenham.

Kicking things off is CUNEO in the Handicap Chase. This horse looks like he’ll be good fun for connections as he comes here well handicapped and will be ridden by 5Lbs claimer Conor Orr.

We fill two spots in the Florida Pearl which looks like it could be a very exciting race. PENCILFULLOFLEAD is a ready made chaser and showed us that last time out. Rachael Blackmore has been booked to ride. RUN WILD FRED is an out and out stayer and this could be right up his street. He has good form with Latest Exhibition and wasn’t too far off him last time, Jack Kennedy will ride.

DAYLIGHT KATIE hasn’t been seen for just over a year but this very talented filly makes her seasonally debut in this Listed mares hurdle, Keith Donoghue will ride. BLACK TEARS was very unlucky not to win at Cheltenham last season but that has left her better off here and without a penalty, Jack Kennedy will ride her on her seasonal debut.

Another making his seasonal debut is the exciting FURY ROAD in the Grade 2 Celebration Hurdle. This horse was 3rd by only a nose to Latest Exhibition and a neck to Monkfish in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham. That form is continuing to improve and he deserves to go well here. He will be ridden by Jack Kennedy.

ABACADABRAS was last seen coming 2nd most recently to Aspire Tower up in Down Royal. Off level weights here to some really hardy horses this could be a very exciting event and a good renewal of the Morgiana.

Moving on to the maiden hurdle we have two runners, starting off with COQOLINO who was 2nd on his hurdling debut and that will set him up nicely here, Mark Walsh has been booked to ride. FOXHOLE probably needed a spin last time and hopefully can put in a better show here with 7lbs claimer Jack Wildman.

GOLD DES BOIS was a bit disappointing last time in Down Royal and this looks a bit less competitive compared to that day. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride and we look forward to seeing the pair run.

Finally in the bumper we have 3 runners. GORDON’S JET didn’t suit the slow early pace of the last race, Simon Cavanagh will ride and claim 7lbs. HOLLOW GAMES looks very exciting having come from the pointing ranks, Jamie Codd will ride. Finally we have PERFECT ATTITUDE will be having his first run on the racecourse here and he will be ridden by Lisa O’Neill.

WESEEKHIMHERE rounds off our three runners at Cheltenham in the Listed Bumper. This horse has gone from strength to strength and looks to have the gears to be stepped up to this bigger task. We don’t know how his form will hold up against these English runners but we have no reason to believe he won’t run a good race. Robbie Power has been booked to ride.

Sunday 8th of November

It’ll be all lorries at the ready today as we send a whopping 23 horses to Navan for the Troytown meeting.

In the opening race we have GRANGECLARE NATIVE in a full field of 20 maiden hurdle over 2m4f. He looked to be making a nice return the last day when falling 4 out. but he comes here none the worse and will have Rachael Blackmore in the saddle.

Only 8 runners go forward for the For Auction Novice Hurdle, a Grade 3 over 2m. ESKYLANE put up a good account of himself when running out the winner of his maiden hurdle and will be partnered by Denis O’Regan in this step up in company. ONE DOWN was a winner of his maiden hurdle and then went on to find stablemate Call Me Lyreen a bit too good next time out. He comes here in good form with Keith Donoghue in the saddle. Finally we have WIDE RECEIVER who will be all the better for his last run coming here. Mark Walsh has been chosen to ride.

For the Lismullen Hurdle we have another two strong runners making their seasonal debut. CRACKING SMART was a notable winner of the Boyne hurdle last season and went on to finish a strong 4th in Cheltenham. He looks destined for a bright season and Bryan Cooper has been booked to ride. Festival scorer SIRE DU BERLAIS looks to kick off his season in good fashion as a consistent performer on the big days, Mark Walsh has been booked to ride.

It’s the big one next and we have 10 of the 22 runners and the second reserve. Top of the weights is the good Novice DEATH DUTY who finished off last season in good form, he comes here fresh and with an additional 5lbs off his back in the shape of Conor Orr. DOUNIKOS can prove to be a bit hit and miss but can turn up for these big handicaps and will have Sean O’Keeffe on board. ROARING BULL certainly knows how to finish off with a flourish and a run under his belt this season should mean he can put in a nice performance, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride. AFOREMENTIONED was last seen winning the Munster National and goes here in search of a treble, he will be ridden by 5lbs claimer Conor McNamara. ELWOOD comes here fresh from his summer break and has plenty of experience over these big fences and will be ridden by Sean Flanagan. Liam Quinlan will take 5lbs off the back of GUN DIGGER another who has already seen a racecourse this season and should be all the better for it. GENERAL PRINCIPLE shouldn’t be discounted as a winner of the Irish Grand National and will have 5lbs claimer Eoin O’Connell. CHEB DE KERVINIOU was a very loyal servant last season and has a big pot in him yet, he will be ridden by Bryan Cooper. MINELLA TILL DAWN looks well handicapped in this and will be the mount of Denis O’Regan. Finally as bottom weight getting in we have DIAMOND TURF with 7lbs claimer Jack Wildman on board, it looks like he’ll have plenty to do. Out Sam currently sits as second reserve and ran a great race at the start of the month to finish 5th in a big chase, we hope he can get in.

We only have one runner for the Fortria Chase to make up a field of 6 runners. ECLAIR DE BEAFEU is a very classy horse who finished 2nd at the Festival on his last start. Another who can go well fresh he will be partnered by Mark Walsh.

EASYWORK ran a blinder in the Ballymore at the Festival to finish 2nd and he takes on a big field here for his first spin over fences. He won’t have it all his own way as there are a few smart looking types in this but he will be partnered by Sean Flanagan.

For the Ladbrokes Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Hurdle we have ELITE TROOPER GREY who got his head in front on his last start. He is strip fit and in great form, Kevin Sexton has been booked to ride. Crackaway currently sits as second reserve and we hope he can get in.

Finally in the Navanracecourse.ie Handicap Hurdle we have MULTIFACTORIAL who has another run under his belt and heads the top of the weights but has Conor Orr taking off 5lbs. TIGER TWENTY TWO is another one that is a loyal servant who we hope can run well with Jack Wildman in the saddle claiming 7lbs.

Tuesday November 3rd

We’re back racing after an incredible weekend and lucky for us we’re only going down the road. Today we line up at Fairyhouse with 9 runners.

In the opener we are double handed with our first being CATS FOR CASH who will hopefully feel the influence of stable form to help find some improvement, he will be ridden by Jody McGarvey. LOAD UP TIME comes here back from a break and looks a nice chasing sort, this looks a nice beginners chase for him to learn what to do, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

The next race is another chase, where we have GIVE HIM TIME. If this horse puts in a clean round of jumping he can hopefully be right up in the frame. Conor Orr has been booked to ride.

We seem to have some solid form in the 3YO juvenile hurdles this year and we have another one here in the shape of SIDESHIFT. This horse ran a really nice race on debut over hurdles and has ever right to keep improving. There might be a few dangers lurking in the field however but we have booked Jack Kennedy to ride to keep up our good record.

For the Glenview and Rathbarry Stud Maiden we have two more runners. FAKIERA has been unlucky and has run into a few nice horses along the way and deserves his day in the sun. He has good form and his style suits these races, being handy and will be ridden by Jack Kennedy. LONGACRE SQUARE has been improving at his own pace and his two runs this season should shape him up to run a good race, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

There’s a big gap then till we get to ARDHILL in the Fairyhouse On Social Media Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f. He is probably still a bit too high on ratings but a drop from the last run will hopefully see some improvement, Jody McGarvey has been booked to ride.

Finally in the bumper we have two nice mares running. CUTE CHERRY is a nicely bred sort and looks ready to come out here, it looks an open enough race and we have booked Jack Wildman to ride who also claims 7lbs. GLENVEAGH PARK ran well on her only start before lockdown and that little bit of experience should be a big bonus to her here, she will be ridden by Jamie Codd.

Saturday 24th of October

It’s another busy day as we head to Galway with 7 runners and have just the 1 for Leopardstown.

We have two nice 3YOs for the opening juvenile hurdle race over 2m at Galway, LUCKY FELLA has the benefit of two runs under his belt and improving ones at that. This should be ideal for him and Denis O’Regan takes the ride. SIDESHIFT will be jumping out for the first time over hurdles but this horse is a winner on the flat on soft going and looked like he would appreciate a step up in going, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

GEVREY was unlucky last time out as he got collared close to home on his first start over hurdles. He looks like a horse with a nice future and we will be hoping for a nice run here, Keith Donoghue is in the saddle once more.

There will be a gap of a race to FRONTAL ASSAULT in the Corrib Oil Maiden Hurdle over 2m. This horse probably needed the run the last day as he got tired close home but made a good account of himself. Mark Walsh has been booked to ride.

SASSY YET CLASSY goes for the W.B. Gavin & Co. Handicap Hurdle over 2m5f. This mare left off on a winning note the last day and will appreciate any extra rain having won on heavy. Denis O’Regan has been booked to ride with cheekpieces fitted.

ARDHILL is top weight in the Galway Handicap Hurdle over the same distance of 2m5f. It’s a very big field, he’s been in good form at home so we’ll be hoping for a nice race. Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

Finally for Galway we have BENBULBEN BOY in the bumper, he is a good looking horse with a nice pedigree. This looks like an open race where we hope he’ll get a good opportunity. Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.

Over in Leopardstown our only runner of the day is SHARP FOCUS who ran a very good race the last day to come home 2nd. He comes to this again in good form and in the middle of the ratings so we’ve decided to claim off him with Dylan McMonagle taking off 5lbs.

Sunday 18th of October

We wrap the weekend up with 6 runners down in Cork.

Our first runner is GET RICH DIE PLYIN in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle over 3m. This horse supplied Jack Kennedy with his first win after returning from his leg injury. Today he will be partnered with Conor Orr who claims 5lbs while Jack is once again on the sidelines. It’s a nice small field and the claim should help his chances.

ELITE TROOPER GREY takes a step up in trip here to 2m3f for this handicap hurdle and sits close to the bottom of the weights with Kevin Sexton on board.

A nice horse from last season, COKO BEACH goes for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase. He’s a well built gelding who looking right for the job. He usually takes a run to get fit but we will be hoping for a good run off the bat, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

Next is the feature race of the day where we have two runners and a new coming to the yard in the shape of TIMOTEO. This horse is a very capable chaser over in the UK before joining us and gets in off a nice mark and with the aid of 5lbs claimer Conor Orr, hopefully he can get off on the right foot for connections. DAKOTA MOIRETTE was a none runner the last day and is in fine fettle coming to this and will be off rock bottom weight with 7lbs claimer Gavin Brouder on board.

Finally in the bumper we have TORYGRAPH who was promising in bumpers last season and starts this season where he left off. Jack Wildman will get the ride and claim 7lbs.

Thursday 15th of October

Two more winners yesterday makes all the difference in our pursuit for a first Trainer’s title. The Storyteller was brilliant to watch as he made his way around Punchestown effortlessly in the hands of Keith Donoghue. It’s exciting to see The Storyteller’s name added to the winners list which include proper Grade 1 chasers Don Cossack, Road To Respect and Sub Lieutenant.

Today we head to Tramore with 6 runners and we kick things off with FIDJI EMERY in the www.tramoreraces.ie Maiden Hurdle over 2m. This horse was disappointing last season in bumpers but is built to go over a jump. The summer off and a switch to hurdling will hopefully bring about improvement in this handsome son of Vision D’Etat, Keith Donoghue will take the ride.

Our next runners are in the third race, the Woodstown Maiden Hurdle over 2m5f. MULTIFACTORIAL will receive the aid of 7lbs claimer Gavin Brouder in this contest, who has been riding very well for us of late. This will be the horses first start of the season and it looks like an open race. Talk of the Town didn’t like the ground the last day and will be back on better ground today with Keith in the saddle.

HELL ON EARTH moves up to chasing in this Rated Novices Chase. This will be his first start of the season and he retains cheek pieces from his last start. Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

AXIOMATIC never quite got his head in front while over hurdles but always ran his race and came home with prize money, this looks like a nice beginners chase to get him started over fences and Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

Finally in the bumper we have HAMUNDARSON who returns to the bumper field. He was a bit keen back in January but is a horse we like. This should be a nice contest to kick off his season with Lisa O’Neill in the saddle.
