Wednesday 1st July

There was a break from racing yesterday in Ireland so we’re ready for a busy card at Tipperary where we have 9 runners.

We have two runners in the first, the MansionBet Not Rocket Science Maiden Hurdle over 2m 4f. Gun Merchant is well versed at the racecourse as a winner of his bumper and placed over the point to point fences. The trip should be no issue as this horse stays very well, Davy Russell has been booked to ride. he Rocking Chair was not disgraced in two starts on bumpers, the ground should be good for this horse but the trip is a question, Keith Donoghue will ride.

RECENT REVELATIONS gave connections a great day out when 4th in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham on his last start. He’s a smart horse who will be stepping out on the track for the first time this season, Davy Russell rides and hopefully he’ll have a good spin.

Our next runner is AERO MAJESTIC who just weakened in his first run for us last time. There’s a few in here that may take a bit of beating but we will be looking to improve from this run, Davy Russell has been booked to ride.

JAUNTY WARRIOR goes for the division 2 of the 80-95 Handicap Hurdle. This horse hasn’t been a fan of the heavy winter going so hopefully a switch to the better ground might bring some improvement in him, Davy Russell rides him.

Second in a Grade 3 Chase I’M A GAME CHANGER should have what it takes to beat beginners to win his first chase. Hopefully this will be a good start to kick off his season chasing, Davy Russell will ride.

Another chase follows suits where GIVE HIM TIME will be making his stable debut. We have done as his name suggests and given him a bit of time since he came to the yard. Keith Donoghue will be riding.

Finally we are double handed in the bumper where we have MR JACKMAN who has a stamina packed pedigree and will be ridden by Jamie Codd and PAPAL LODGE who has a mix of jumps and flat in his pedigree and will be ridden by Lisa O’Neill. It’ll be great to get these two out on the track and we look forward to seeing them run well.

Monday 29th of June

After a quiet weekend we’re back racing on the flat and over jumps in Kilbeggan and Limerick. We have 4 horses for Kilbeggan, while we send two down to Limerick.

Our two flat horses will be head to head in the Patrickswell Maiden over 1m4f at Limerick. SILVER STAR ran a very good race last time out to grab third at Fairyhouse. He will hopefully have improved for the run and will have Declan McDonogh in the saddle. THE ABBEY needed the run over course and distance last time and like his competitor we hope has improved for that, Leigh Roche will be in the saddle.

We have four runners for Kilbeggan where FIGHT FOR LOVE is our first runner in the Division 2 Follow Kilbeggan on Twitter Handicap Hurdle. This horse should enjoy the conditions today and will hopefully run a nice race with Davy Russell in the saddle.

FROM EDEN  runs in the next, the Follow Kilbeggan on Facebook Handicap Chase. This horse has been great fun for connections and will hopefully provide another good day out today. He’s off a good mark and the team will be hoping for a good run, it’ll be nice to get him back chasing with Davy in the saddle.

Another for a handicap chase is THISONESFOROLLIE in the Follow Kilbeggan on Insta handicap chase over 2m4f. This looks a very open contest and will be her first run this year. It’ll be another one for Davy and we’d be hoping for a nice run.

Finally in the bumper we have WINGS OF DESTINY with Jamie Codd on board. This horse has run a few nice races in bumpers and this doesn’t look the most difficult race in the world. Hopefully this will be a good introduction point.

Wednesday 24th June

We got another winner yesterday as Lalipour was produced beautifully by Chris Hayes to get up just on the line. It’s great to see the hard work pay off. Today we have 8 runners for Roscommon over jumps and 1 runner in Naas.

Naas

THAT’S MAD runs in the Naas Handicap. He was a bit too keen on his debut for us but the softer going and drop down in trip could suit.

Roscommon

BIOVERDIA is our first runner at this evening meeting in the division 2 Tulsk Mares Maiden Hurdle over 2m. It’ll be a great starting point for her this season. She is already a winner of her bumper and the ease in the ground will help as this mare stays all day, however she will carry a penalty for that win. Davy Russell is booked to ride.

Next up is SANTANA PLESSIS in the www.roscommonracecourse.ie maiden hurdle over 2m. This horse did reasonably well on his first assignment over hurdles and has shown good form in bumpers over this distance as well. It will be another case of getting a run but hopefully with a decent result, Davy rides.

SOLDIERS HILL starts his season in the Athleague maiden hurdle. He’s a very good looking horse and won his bumper very convincingly. He has had a few runs in maiden hurdles coming up against very hot company. This looks another nice introduction to get his season underway and will be in the hands of Davy.

Unlucky not to get closer last time TIGER TWENTY TWO finished 3rd having dropped back around the home turn. He is a very tough little horse and hopefully the last race hasn’t taken to much out of him. This will be another ride for Davy.

In typical fashion we have 3 runners for the feature race at Roscommon, the Roscommon Handicap Hurdle over 3m. EVERYBREATHYOUTAKE is our highest rated horse in the race. It wasn’t his day at Cheltenham in the Martin Pipe but this horse had good form previously. He has done well for a break and will be accompanied by Keith Donoghue. GET OUT THE GATE is a new recruit to the yard and has good chase form from his previous yard. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles going back over hurdles and we have Davy Russell in the saddle. Finally we have CLONDAW NATIVE who looks to be off a nice mark here. The trip shouldn’t be a worry and we have booked Denis O’Regan to ride.

Finally in the Ladies Pro/Am we have IMPERIAL ALLURE who ran a much improved race behind the classy Politesse last time out. Hopefully she will have come on for that again and is partnered by pro Lisa O’Neill.

Tuesday 23rd June

We finally got on the board yesterday with BigBadAndBeautiful, it was a very welcome win and we were unlucky not to have another with Jawbox running very green.

Today we switch back to the flat over at Navan where we have three runners. First up is MOGHRAM in the Division 1 Oristown Handicap and will be partnered by Declan McDonogh. This horse might just be finding the 2m a bit far in his hurdling so a step back to 1m5f might help him.

Finally we have two runners in the Division 2 of the Oristown Handicap, METAL MAN will appreciate the softening conditions as he was a winner over hurdles here last season. Declan McDonogh will ride. LALIPOUR gets in as joint bottom weight but we’ve put up a strong jockey booking with Chris Hayes.

We wish all our runners and riders the very best of luck

Saturday 13th June

We’re back on the track as GRACELAND is our only runner for the Curragh this weekend. This will be the mare’s first run for the yard and breaks a long time abcense from the flat. This mare is made for the jumps and has been a good servant for connections over hurdles. There’s a few national hunt types in this along with a few jockeys more familiar with the other code. She shouldn’t have any issues with the trip and we look forward to getting her on the track, Chris Hayes has been booked for the ride.
