Sunday 18th of October

We wrap the weekend up with 6 runners down in Cork.

Our first runner is GET RICH DIE PLYIN in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle over 3m. This horse supplied Jack Kennedy with his first win after returning from his leg injury. Today he will be partnered with Conor Orr who claims 5lbs while Jack is once again on the sidelines. It’s a nice small field and the claim should help his chances.

ELITE TROOPER GREY takes a step up in trip here to 2m3f for this handicap hurdle and sits close to the bottom of the weights with Kevin Sexton on board.

A nice horse from last season, COKO BEACH goes for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase. He’s a well built gelding who looking right for the job. He usually takes a run to get fit but we will be hoping for a good run off the bat, Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

Next is the feature race of the day where we have two runners and a new coming to the yard in the shape of TIMOTEO. This horse is a very capable chaser over in the UK before joining us and gets in off a nice mark and with the aid of 5lbs claimer Conor Orr, hopefully he can get off on the right foot for connections. DAKOTA MOIRETTE was a none runner the last day and is in fine fettle coming to this and will be off rock bottom weight with 7lbs claimer Gavin Brouder on board.

Finally in the bumper we have TORYGRAPH who was promising in bumpers last season and starts this season where he left off. Jack Wildman will get the ride and claim 7lbs.

Thursday 15th of October

Two more winners yesterday makes all the difference in our pursuit for a first Trainer’s title. The Storyteller was brilliant to watch as he made his way around Punchestown effortlessly in the hands of Keith Donoghue. It’s exciting to see The Storyteller’s name added to the winners list which include proper Grade 1 chasers Don Cossack, Road To Respect and Sub Lieutenant.

Today we head to Tramore with 6 runners and we kick things off with FIDJI EMERY in the www.tramoreraces.ie Maiden Hurdle over 2m. This horse was disappointing last season in bumpers but is built to go over a jump. The summer off and a switch to hurdling will hopefully bring about improvement in this handsome son of Vision D’Etat, Keith Donoghue will take the ride.

Our next runners are in the third race, the Woodstown Maiden Hurdle over 2m5f. MULTIFACTORIAL will receive the aid of 7lbs claimer Gavin Brouder in this contest, who has been riding very well for us of late. This will be the horses first start of the season and it looks like an open race. Talk of the Town didn’t like the ground the last day and will be back on better ground today with Keith in the saddle.

HELL ON EARTH moves up to chasing in this Rated Novices Chase. This will be his first start of the season and he retains cheek pieces from his last start. Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

AXIOMATIC never quite got his head in front while over hurdles but always ran his race and came home with prize money, this looks like a nice beginners chase to get him started over fences and Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

Finally in the bumper we have HAMUNDARSON who returns to the bumper field. He was a bit keen back in January but is a horse we like. This should be a nice contest to kick off his season with Lisa O’Neill in the saddle.

Tuesday 13th of October

It was incredible for the team to score a treble at Kilbeggan yesterday after a great weekend. Today we head to Punchestown as we take the sheets off some real winter horses.

The opener looks a hot contest as we send two in for the Ladbrokes Watch Racing Beginners Chase over 2m1f. CONFLATED is a ready built chaser and was a good novice hurdler last season competing in Graded company. These beginners races are already getting hot so this seems as good a time as any to test where this horse is at. SILVER STAR got a bit tired towards the end of his run when starting over fences for the first time. It was a very pleasing run and has been dropped back in trip here to help him get home. Darver Star is the main threat here especially if he comes back as classy as he was last season.

We don’t have anything for the second race but put forward two exciting 3yo’s for the Ladbrokes 3YO Hurdle over 2m. QUILIXIOS will bare a penalty for already having won a hurdle race over in France before he came to the yard. This horse looks very exciting and has taken things in his stride. LUCKY FELLA probably needed his first run and will look to improve on it here. He boasts a good page and showed that he can be well able of the task.

It’s a small field for the Ladbrokes Giving Extra Places Hurdle over 2m2f, where 5 go forward for which we send two. RECENT REVELATIONS can be a bit tricky at times but has a lot of class about him when he’s focused on the job. This is a very competitive field and might find one or two tough to pass but it looks a suitable race for him. CAMPEADOR hasn’t looked better at home as he has this season, it’ll be good to get him started in such a small field and we hope he can put in a good performance.

Making his appearance over hurdles for the first time is WIDE RECEIVER who came to us with a lot of expectations on his shoulders. He didn’t disappoint and won on rules debut. A career over obstacles now awaits him and its what he is made for. There are plenty of runners in this maiden hurdle so it could get messy, we’ll be hoping for a clear run to give us the best chance.

Finally another big field awaits DAPHNE MOON in the mares INH Flat Race. This mare has form against some very smart horses from last season and comes back against her own sex. The ground won’t be an issue for this filly as she appreciates a strong stamina test. Jamie Codd has been booked for today’s run.

Sunday 11th of October

We have a few more of the Winter horses out today in Limerick.

We start things off with two in the second race, the Patrickswell Maiden Hurdle over 2m. FRONTAL ASSAULT never scored in bumpers last season but should find improvement for a hurdle this year, he will be partnered by Jack Kennedy. O CONNELL STREET didn’t get into his race on Friday when he was 1st reserve but comes here in good form, this will be his first start for the yard and we wish him and Davy Russell the very best of luck.

Next up is the Listed Irish EBF Cailin Alainn Mares Hurdle over 2m6f where we have two smart fillies. SURIN will sit as top weight under a penalty for winning a Graded race, this will be a very competitive place to start her season but she’s well able, Davy Russell rides. FELICIDAD takes a step up in class for this event which we hope she can take in her stride, Jack Kennedy will take the ride.

DALLAS DES PICTONS faces only 3 other rivals in the Limerick Rated Chase over 2m3f. This horse has good form in novice chases from last season and goes here in good form, he will be ridden by Davy Russell.

It’s the big race of the day next and we have just the horse for the event, ROARING BULL now famous for his exploits at Leopardstown last season takes his chance in the Munster National with Jack Kennedy in the saddle. AFOREMENTIONED has quickly established himself as a nice 3m chaser in the yard, he will be carrying a lighter weight and a further 7lbs has been taken off by Gavin Brouder.

Finally we have two in the last, an exciting beginners chase over 2m6f. PRESENT IN COURT hasn’t had the best time of it in chases so far but should be stronger this season and probably needed the run last time out, Davy Russell has been booked to ride. Impressive point to point winner and Graded hurdle winner RUN WILD FRED moves up to chasing. This horse was built to chase  and should appreciate every bit of the trip, Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Saturday 26th of September

We’ll be plenty busy today as we have the same number of runners on the flat as we do over jumps across the Curragh and Listowel.

Firstly we head to the Curragh for the flat where we will hopefully have 5 runners. COLIGINI looks made for this type of race, being a son of the Irish 2000 Guineas winner Awtaad. This horse has already had the benefit of running in a barrier trial and should be ready for this run. CAPTAIN MIDDLETON currently sits as first reserve in the Irish EBF Median sires series over 8f. This colt has been stepped up in trip from 6f as he looked to be staying on in heavy going at Cork on the last day.

CATHERINE CHROI improved a huge amount between runs and showed us a bit more of what we were hoping from her. She goes in the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Race over 6f. It could cut up into an open contest with many smaller trainers represented. Wayne Lordan has been booked to ride.

Finally for the Curragh we have a pair more used to jumping in the Tipperary Crystal Ladies Trophy Handicap over 1m4f. RECENT REVELATIONS makes the switch back to the flat having had good juvenile form over the level. Eliece Elliott will be having her first start on the track and we wish her the very best of luck. Our second runner in this is also first reserve, COMMENTARIOLUS who is very lightly raced was bred for the flat being a son of Frankel. However he found his first victory over hurdles and shouldn’t have any issue with today’s task.

Moving back to the jumps we have GEVREY in the opener at Listowel, the John Lynch Memorial Maiden Hurdle over 2m. This will be Gevrey’s first run over jumps having run twice in bumpers. We will be hoping to see a bit of improvement for the switch and Keith Donoghue has been booked to ride.

SAINT D’OROUX goes forward for the Allman Contracts Novice Hurdle over 2m4f. This has cut up into only a 7 runner race with plenty of inform horses turning out. We think he can improve on his Galway form and could be quite competitive here. Jack Kennedy has been booked to ride.

Finally we have a long wait of 5 races before the bumper where our final two runners do battle. MARS HARPER was a very impressive winner on his only race course appearance and his partnership with 7lbs claimer Hugh McOwan has been renewed. WESEEKHIMHERE was also last seen winning impressively by 11 lengths having not had a clear run first time out, Jamie Codd has been booked to ride. It will be exciting to see these two horses go up against each other.

Friday 25th of September

Today we head down to Listowel for the penultimate day of their racing festival, we will have four runners for a total of two races.

We kick off the day with the John J Galvin Maiden Hurdle over 2m4f. ARDHILL will be having his second start under rules in what could be an open race, Jack Kennedy will ride. Our other runner in this event is ENVIOUS EDITOR who will be making his stable debut. This horse is a winning pointer and has come close to winning having been twice the runner up. He will be ridden by Robbie Power.

Our second lot of runners will be in the feature race of the day, the Ladbrokes Nation Plays Handicap Hurdle over 2m. STAR MAKER valuable Killarney handicap win last year came at the expense of Tudor City but prefers better ground as the going is declared as soft on the national hunt course and heavy on the flat, Jack Kennedy will ride. ARDAMIR has been good form this summer, winning under today’s rider at Bellewstown and last month at Ballinrobe; This doesn’t look like his ideal ground however and might be best watched today.

Sunday 6th of September

It’s another day of racing down in Ballinrobe as we have a mix of runners and reserves for the national hunt card.

Our first runner of the afternoon is WESTCOAST TIGER in the McHale Fusion 3 Range Mares Maiden Hurdle. This filly was just touched off my the smallest margin the last day. Hurdles seem to have brought about a nice bit of improvement so hopefully she’ll be more the wiser today with Keith in the saddle again.

Jaunty Warrior doesn’t look like he’ll be getting in to the second race as nothing has come out as he sits as third reserve.

MAKE MY HEART FLY couldn’t get around a tough class of horses the last day in what looked a much tougher assignment then this. This is also a step up in trip from that but she should be well able to run her race as she gives plenty of weight away to a few of them here. Her regular companion of Keith Donoghue will ride.

Our next runner is MENGLI KHAN in the McHale C4 Straw Blower & Silage Feeder Chase. This looks a hot race where we can hopefully be competitive where Mengli will be partnered by Rachael Blackmore.

For the Grade B McHale Mayo National Handicap Chase over 2m7f we have YOUNG TURK who was a great winner last time out and will be partnered again by Sean O’Keeffe claiming 3lbs off 10st 8lbs. Our other two hopefuls Cecil Corbett and Timiyan won’t be getting in as second and third reserves as no one has come out.

Finally a race named after our stable star the McHale Tiger Roll Beginners Chase we have AFOREMENTIONED who has been knocking on the door of late will have first time cheek pieces to eek out a bit more from him, Keith Donoghue will ride.

Friday the 4th September

It was great to get another winner last night in Clonmel with Nobel Joshua. Today we head over to Kilbeggan with 4 runners.

Our first runner of the afternoon is SILVER STAR in the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle over 2m. He was second the last day to Goodbye Someday the last day when he was 8lbs better off, he will be 10lbs better off today and will have Sean O’Keeffe in the saddle.

Next up is our first reserve Fakir D’alene who makes the switch to hurdling after not quite taking to bumpers. He was a very impressive point to point winner before coming to the yard so jumping shouldn’t be an issue. He is currently sat as first reserve so we will be hoping someone comes out.

MRS DAVIES goes for the Coola Handicap Hurdle over 3m where she will be ridden by Jordan Williams who claims 7lbs. We’ll be looking to improve on her last runs as her owners look to have a bit of fun with her.

Finally in the bumper we have MASON CITY who was just pipped last time out on debut in very wet conditions. That race looks like it is turning up to be a nice one as the third placed horse is now a winner. Jamie Codd has been booked to ride.
