Today we have 8 runners at Fairyhouse.

BRELADE (pictured) wasn’t his usual self on his latest appearance at Punchestown in Grade 2 last month but dropping down in Grade here today should be more than able to draw a line through that effort and get his nose in front after knocking on the door for some time now with three consecutive seconds this season.
MINELLA TILL DAWN is a lovely big horse who I think will need some time before we see the best from him. He was badly hampered last time out at Navan and never managed to get back into the race after that, hopefully it won’t affect his confidence and he’s in great form at home so I expect a good run but Brelade looks to have the upper hand.
12:35MONBEG NOTORIOUS steps back down in trip after finishing second on his chasing debut in very testing conditions at Gowran Park three weeks ago, stable mate Dounikos got the better of him on the day which was unexpected but it was still a decent performance. He beat Moulin A Vent, who he faces again her today last year at Down Royal so his main danger looks to be Willie’s horse Bonbon A Miel but I’m confident he could put up a good fight.
PERCYis one of two in this making his yard debut, he joined us earlier this season from Ger Lyons and has settled in well. He has been working away nicely and doing plenty of schooling as this is his hurdling debut. We’ll be able to make more of a plan for him after today but his schooling at home has been great and I would expect him to finish in the shake up if all goes well.
SOMETIMES A FOX also makes his yard and hurdling debut, he doesn’t have as much experience as Percy but did run well on heavy ground last time out at Gowran Park so he should enjoy todays conditions. Again, he has been doing plenty of schooling in the run up to this run and he’s in fantastic form at home.
MIRACLE IN MEDINAH is a lovely big individual but his run at Punchestown at the end of last month was not his finest hour, I think the step back in trip will suit him today and he won his bumper here last season so I hope he can draw a line through that and get back on track.
LILYWHITE GESTURE has been very much out of sorts recently but this looks an easier task for her to regain her consistency, her last good run was a winning one at Hexham in September on heavy ground so conditions today won’t be an issue and arguably her better form is over hurdles so I hope she can get back to her best today.

SWEETLIGHT D’OROUX makes her debut in the bumper, she is a really nice young horse by Balko who’s homework is pleasing, as always we will gain knowledge from her first run but she does everything well at home and benefits from Lisa O’Neills claim here today.
